There seems to be a little confusion over the attendance list, can everyone that has added their name please confirm they have bought/paid for their ticket by adding 'PAID' after their username? (I've added a few already that I know have bought their tickets, thanks guys)

My bad! I only scanned through the original post and assumed it was like the other event threads (add your name, then add 'PAID' once the ticket was purchased).

I'll make sure i read the post properly next time!

My apologies for all the confusion

Loving those wheels , hope you don't mind me asking what the are please >> ta Lee

They're Aodhan DS02's that i had imported from America via Royal Speed Shop and then powder coated in a Ford Rock Grey.

Specs are 19 x 9.5 et15 for the front and then 19 x 11 et22 for the rear with a 25mm spacer on the rear.

There's a bit more info in my project thread here.

feel bad for you as you seem to have come across a rather annoyed police staff on the day

It is a funny one,as usually most of them will be fine ,until you get the odd one who just trows the book at you....

Exactly that mate. I have no issue with them normally and 9 times out of 10 they're really nice and just pull me over to check my insurance, ask about the car and my job before sending me on my way.

Just a bit infuriating as i seem to be one of the only idiots that actually taxes my car, declares modifications etc. and yet I'm the one that ends up with all the grief.

Out of what? The new side skirt bits, or your tyres?

Suprisingly the tyre wear isn't too awful now it's had another alignment

Saying that, I'm already on my second set of tyres on the Kiwami's and I've only had them since January hahaha

Thankfully the Delinte's are dead cheap in this size

  5. Nothing hugely exciting but I fitted a rubber skirt/lip to the sideskirts the other day. Suprisingly doesn't look completely awful (imo) considering the price.

Won't be permanent as I still plan on making a proper lip kit for the front, side and rear of the car. But it'll do for now!

Might finally get round to giving the car a good polish over the coming weeks seeing as it won't be going anywhere anytime soon!

  6. Yeah it wasn't the best of days

The plate is a bit annoying as it's still perfectly readable. Not tinted or a non standard size or anything like that, just the space moved slightly... But at the end of the day, it still doesn't conform so that's fair enough.

Revoking my MOT for the sake of a sunstrip that I offered to peel off on the spot is a **** take imo. At the least he could of offered for me to go away and remove it and visit him at the station within the next week or whatever.

Now I'm stuck without a car, a bunch of fines and I now have the hassle of waiting for new plates to arrive, booking an MOT and then taking the certificate to the station

It passed its MOT in the exact state the car is in currently. And a proper MOT at that from a local garage, not one of those chuck your mate £60 and he'll pass anything type of deals!

To top it all of as well, he followed me from the M4/M5 interchange all the way down the A38, into and around Aztec West and didn't once attempt to pull me over (the business park was basically empty and the roads are wide so no reason not to pull me over somewhere). Instead he decided to tailgate me through a security barrier into my work place before stopping me IN THE WORK CAR PARK! Where all my managers could peer out from the 2nd and 3rd floor and see the police car and myself! The director of Japanese business was in office that day as well as i spotted him peering out from the top floor at me while on the phone.

Thankfully my work are fairly understanding, but i could've lost my job for something like that! Also, I'm fairly certain the police aren't allowed to enter private property without permission or a warrant - especially private property that deals with highly classified information!

...that 370 is indeed very nice B)

Tell me about it. Ever since i watched this video a year or so ago I've been obsessed with 326Power.

Desperately want their Manriki wing!

  8. Most likely not to most people's (if anyone's) taste but wow  every time i see this car it makes me desperately want a 350!

350's are simply stunning with a widebody kit. It follows the stock lines so perfectly!

Also, probably the coolest 370 to ever grace the internet :wub:

  9. I'd give my left leg for a black MK1   Just a shame that they basically don't exist

I've only ever seen one for sale and it was around the £20k mark and had 60k miles.  I'm certainly not wealthy enough for that! £15k was a push

Don't know how you do it. I hate having to hold up miles of traffic as I cross opposing traffic to avoid smashing my front lip.

I'm low but nowhere near as low as you so I really don't know how you do it.

It's not too bad to be honest. I don't drive the car during rush hour anymore and I always detour if I know the roads are bumpy.

My commute used to be about 5 miles and there was only 1 spot where I actually had to slow down.

I do have to be extremely specific with the roads I choose to go down though!

Do you scrape on cats eyes

Occasionally. If it's a smallish cats eye on the motorway and the road is smooth then I'll be okay. If its a larger one or the lanes are a bit bumpy then I probably will.

I change lanes quite fast though so I tend to skip between the gaps

Air ride on your car for the show scene given the budget ?

Not personally a huge fan of air ride. Whenever you see a rolling shot of a car on air ride they're always jacked up quite high with wheels poking out the arches quite a lot

I understand why people have it - much more practical, lower for shows etc. Just not my cup of tea personally

I do like the idea of air cups though. That way I can retain the 'static' lowness of my car but I can at least raise it 2 inches to get over things like bumps and enter slightly raised drives. Being this low without it is stupid really, but weirdly fun at the same time

  12. Bit of a thread revival but figured some people may potentially be interested in the future.

You can convert 370z BC's with a separate spring and shock to true coilovers by purchasing 2 spring perches and 2 locking collars from BC direct.

Then just source yourself a 62/63mm coil spring.

  13. @Bry Cheers mate!

It'd make perfect sense for me to follow suit and raise mine up as well to be honest. I just can't bring myself to do it

Thankfully the car is no longer a daily so it only gets used maybe once or twice a week. Sure saves me the stress of trying to commute in a car that struggles with basically completely flat roads :bang:
