  1. Well the car failed it's MOT. Ironically one of the coil springs had snapped. I hadn't noticed that. So looks like I'm buying coilovers! Had a look and I think the Meister R's are the sweet spot for me. Garage said they're happy to keep hold of the car for me over the weekend and into next week and fit the new suspension for me when it gets in. Also failed on the check engine light. I didn't have that when I took it in but was getting a slight intermitant misfire. I suspect it has a weak coilpack. So we'll try and clear it for the retest. To be fair, it's nice to have a good garage to work with.
  2. Thanks both, I'll check them out.
  3. I'm looking forward to it. Jazz makes for a great daily driver but lacks just a bit of power 😅 Question for those reading. I want to change over to coilovers soon. I'm running a Bilstien pro kit at the moment (fixed dampers and springs) but the front is way too low. The wheels are nearly in the liners. Not sure if it's sagged over the years but it's not great. Plus as it is, once the front splitter goes back on, I won't get it on my drive. So I know everyone goes for BC's but any thoughts on the Tein Flex Z's? Car will just be fast road use. I have no plans to take it on track etc. Both have damping adjustment which is great, so just wondering on peoples thoughts before I spend the money.
  4. Hello all, Long time no post. The last 2.5 years have been "interesting". To make a long story short, I left Wales and moved up to Yorkshire. It took 18months to sell the house, so the 350z did a lot of mileage going up and down the motorways for months. Then Christmans 2025 I hit some flood water and ripped off the diffuser, rear bumper (bolted to the diffuser), front splitter and passenger side arch liners. Mechanically the car isn't too bad. Needs some TLC but otherwise ok. It has however been parked for the better part of 18 months while I waited for the house situation (followed by just avoiding being made redundent) to settle down. I'm now getting the car back together again. It goes in next week to get some new wheel bareings, ball joints and my old (reconditioned) AC compressor fitted. After that I'll get it off to a body shop to get the rear bumper swapped over, new rear spoiler added and front spillter. Oh, I also hit a brick on the motorway just before the flood water incednet and bent a wheel. So yeah.... interesting. Anyway, some random images attached. Pick of the damage to the rear once I got the car into work New Rota GTR-D's for the rear (have GTR's on the front now) And someone caught me on the M1 on one of my many trips back and forth to Wales. Hopefully, I'll have it back on the road in the summer.
  5. Time to update the list of things to do.... New front drivers side wheel well liner (after it got ripped apart in a pothole) New front and read passenger side wheel well liners - came apart after a garage didn't do my wheel bolts up. Turns out only 1 bolt was holding the wheel on. Lucky it didn't do more damage! New (used) AC Compressor (booked in) Rebuild old AC compressor as new (old) one didn't work. Replace rear under engine splash gaurd Replace boot gas struts Replace boot spring propper (I've ran out of coins to keep adding ) Replace rear spacers due to snapped stud Replace front spacers (to match front) due to mis-matched bolts between the spacers the the OE bolts! Replace both front lower arms Kidney brackets and W brace will likely need doing before long too. Going to be a while before much of this gets done. House in Wales isn't selling so I'll be renting in Yorkshire until I can sell and move properly, doesn't leave any spare money! Will be worth it once sold though.
  6. Unfortunately I think your right. Everything these days either sends you to Discord or a Facebook group.....
  7. Great turnout from us and the rest of the show. I think I missed meeting almost everyone as I was late getting in. I got in the queue just after 0800 and it was 3 or 4 miles long, I think I was finally parked at 1030ish! @davey_83 nice to meet you properly! I only took a couple pics as I'm woefully out of practice and was just enjoying being out at a show again.
  8. See you guys up there. Aiming for 0800.
  9. I won't be there that early Probably aiming for 0800 ish.
  10. Hey all, been out of the loop on this for a bit. What time should we aim to be there? Looks like the show kicks off at 1000 but can't see anything on the tickets for a time to enter when on a stand. Ignore that. Clearly I'm not awake! It's 07:00 - 09:30
  11. Definitely interested. Hopeing I will have moved by then. If not, then it wil be a maybe.
  12. Woke up to sort the house out for a viewing today. Can't beat the look of these cars.
  13. Today is clearly one of those days. I figured I would just rip the arch liner out and get it replaced as soon as possible, it was all bent up anyway. Good thing I did, after a wheel rebalancing I had the other day, turns on that same wheel only 1 nut was tight. The other 4 with only threaded on and never tightened! Thankfully no damage done. Not the sort of thing you'd expect within 10 miles of having work done.
  14. Urgh.... Anyone want a 350z? Somehow - and who knows how - the rear part of the front left arch liner has folded up on itself and is now catching the tire when turning. It's all bent out of shape and needs replacing now (along with the front half thanks to a pot hole months ago). How on earth did that happen?? I seem to have a growing list of silly issues with it at the moment. Sarcastic rant over... Find that damn dodgy coil New front drivers side wheel well liner (after it got ripped apart in a pothole) New rear brake pads New (used) AC Compressor (booked in) MOT Find annoying metallic rattle Fix the other arch liners Replace rear under engine splash gaurd Replace boot gas struts Replace boot spring propper (I've ran out of coins to keep adding Replace rear spacers due to snapped stud On the plus side, while I don't have a lot of time to do this work due to living in Wales but now working in Doncaster (moving soon with any luck). The new job does at least give me the extra money to go chasing these.
  15. Cheers both, not sure if I will do it. Was something I was just thinking about.
