  1. Plenum Spacer finally added to the mod list Managed to get hold of a second hand spacer, cheaply, from a forum member and machined up all the other bits on the lathe! Cheapest plenum spacer kit Like to say I feel a difference, but probably my imagination! Just the ART pipes to fit now and then uprev time
  2. Wow that's impressive! Smart watch and time piece can be the same! As well as investment and/or money pit if you buy the wrong one
  3. Very nice @Jay84 Would disagree and at the pieces in the image above are all examples of Rolex sports watches! The datejust and daydate are more gentlemanly style dress watches Smart Tag, love the subdials
  4. My vote is a mines style lip for the front, best option for keeping standard bumper Yeah I agree! Might have to look out for one myself
  5. Linking two of my hobbies together... any other mad watch freaks out there on the forum? The watch market is a bit quiet this time of year, which is strange even tho basel was on not a month ago. Start off with a question everyone wants the answer to: What's the best monetary investment time piece of the moment? What's your favourite high end piece? PFA - not my pieces but please share yours whatever it may be! going to use this to hopefully get people posting!
  6. Car looks completely different from page 1 to now! Looks mega now, love the chargespeed rear
  7. Have seen you're using 5w40 on your oil change. Any particular reason why you chose that over the 5w30? Have heard a lot of people say to opt for the 5w40 due to the higher running temps etc. Looking good!
  8. You know they're a deal when Alex wants them! Good buy!
  9. I took the gamble with the grams carbon fibre mines style lip. Looks great and fit perfect! Heard some bad things about grams styling but only good things from me Check my build thread for pics
  10. Yeah great luck with a proper Nismo spoiler in grey already! Will look spot on I have a plenum spacer sitting in the garage at the moment, Just need to machine up some spacers as didn't get these when I managed to get the spacer second hand! Any more performance mods in the pipe line at all?
  11. Thanks! It is indeed, carbon fibre from grams styling, fit really well
  12. Nice to see some mods coming together! How did you find fitting the plenum spacer? Good choice in spoiler too
  13. Headlights look awesome Interested to see how you'll get on with the hfc's and eventual remap
  14. Continuing to hoard bits for the Z, plenum spacer and ART pipes picked up off forum members and finally an uprev to come! Exciting times this year Car also going in to the paint shop for a few rusty amendments #joysofzedownership... new genuine front wing acquired and slight rust to be cut out on the rear! Whilst it's there, also getting the handles painted as they look pretty shabby! Had a go at a full detail/machine polish with some G3 mild cutting compound and it brought the paint up a treat. Finished off with the meguiars carnauba wax
  15. Old thread revival... Anyone got more footage or "reviews" of these ART pipes? Hopefully be mating these up to my cobra system after MOT, interested to hear what they're like as I haven't heard a z with this set up
  16. For me, sunset orange has really grown on me and is almost a different colour day and night! Sunset orange with tan interior are the original 350z colours to me Do love an azure blue though...
  17. Looks like a lovely clean example, can't see this hanging around for too long! GLWTS!
  18. I'm trying to stay away from the wrx sti and evo scene for that reason and also I think they're reasonably common! I see way less 350z's my way than evos and scoobys, so I quite like the semi-rarity factor Think I want to stay in something low slung and coupe like but VX220 turbos in particular are awesome, but a definite weekend toy. I would love a Z4M coupe but they're out of the price range and only going up. Personally I prefer Jap stlying but my GOD the E46 M3 S54 engined M cars are a peach to drive and very collectable now. The old man struck lucky and got a 35k mile z4m coupe 3 years ago for £14k, which is a steal comparing to today's standards there are 3 other M cars in the household so kind of wanted to stay Jap to be different! Also my insurance for my Z was £830 this year which is so cheap for a 20 year old, so another reason why to keep the 350.
  19. Appreciate your reply! Funny you mention "ticking" over like a Rolex, As I they'd appreciate in value, probably like the s15 and 3000gt too Only other choice is to spend some more money on the 350z and forget about everything else! They look like Advan wheels, can't remember what exactly though but look brilliant in that colour!
  20. Had a feeling that sort of car would be a bit of a money pit aha! Certainly not what I'm after Stunning isn't it? Just is it worth it over the 350z I'm not sure, it's been so good to me and I still "fall" for it when you go for a blast on a sunny day... But still that S15...
  21. After a year of owning the zed, I still thoroughly enjoy it and it is definitely one of them cars you turn back to look at every time you park up and walk away. However I'm looking to potentially trade in the z and put it towards buying another "sporty" car, but probably something more (what I would call) "classic"... then again I'm 20 so anything from the 90s is classic Considering R32/33/34 GTR prices are through the roof, I won't be considering one unfortunately, or one of them would be my first choice as I've always wanted one for as long as I could remember. I've also always loved the S15 Silvia Spec R and 3000GT and wondered if anyone had any experience with either and how they compar to the 350z? I've convinced myself that they would continue holding their value (if not increase) so it could be a viable purchase I would consider anything "sporty" within the approx £12k region, as long as it's likely to hold it's value of course! What do you guys think? Any thoughts or comments, fire away PFA
  22. With @Darkside on this one Buy a nice clean example and you won't regret it!
  23. Found this system on eBay someone is selling and seems like a good buy: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F162905575545 I have PM'd and enquired into the plenum spacer and HFC's already as I have a cobra res y pipe back, however I haven't really heard of Crawford Racing before. Can anyone enlighten me?
  24. I work for Crosthwaite and Gardiner You're quite right that is! The painted cast iron 3.5l block was one that went in the Jaguar XKSS that were remade last year. I've been working there over 3 years now and it is surprising the cost of some items but I guess that's the game we are in because of the nichè market we are in, the price is normally the price unfortunately
  25. Interesting read! Awesome project I work around these cars a lot producing/manufacturing/rebuilding components for jaguar and their heritage side and many ither parts from the era. Will be following this build
