This is the most recent photo back in January after finally getting the nismo arch trims on. I will say this was an utter pig of a job trying to identify which was the right tape. I'm still not overly happy with the finish so will definitely be doing it again in the summer when it's warmer. I'd like to maybe combine this with some bodywork as there are a few areas I want to tackle before they get bad so I.E a few stone chips in the bonnet

Well another 6 months has passed while I'm still recovering from the operation back in August I'd rather be where I'm at now than back then. Its been an arduous 6 months with the car where I really did start thinking all kinds of things like selling it and getting out completely, trading it in and getting an BMW M4 comp, a lower mileage example Nismo without the stupid road tax and much more. However I have decided to keep it, love it, and have some fun while getting some jobs done. So first order on the list, a new set of wheels! I'd looked at reps, I'd looked at genuine Nismos from the omari factory. And in the end I settled for something in the middle cost wise, a brand new set of Work emotion Kirwami's in ashed bronze. The fronts have arrived, still waiting for the rears from Japan. Little touch of red picked out by my partner to match the red trim on Nismos Next up ive been wanting to tackle the brakes. My Nismo hit 45K miles last year so I figured it's probably time to get the pads and discs changed as I'd noticed increasing pedal travel on spirted driving so I went for a set of MTEC drilled and grooved discs all round and a friendly street pad. This will be paired up with a brake fluid change to motul 660 which should firm up the pedal nicely Next on my list is a set of coilovers, most likely going to be tried and tested Meister R. I'd like to get the car booked in with Horsham Developments in the near future and I'm going to future proof myself with hopefully getting the timing chain done just for my own peace of mind combined with a full checkover

Still very much up for this show but correct me if I've got my wires crossed, is the still the annual JDM combe show or a different one? I remember the last one we went to being in July and want to make sure I've got the right one -
As said it isn't a dig just a general comment. I'll be honest I'm debating buying one but trying to reason it out in my own mind is the issue. Can you advise how they're secured on?

Way this is going the forums going to be all but dead for events soon 🤷♂️ -
Torqen do this kit for the Nismos, and i can't lie I really want it for mine. It's just the cost of all these kits, they're eye watering and that isn't a dig. 20 year old me wouldn't have batted an eyelid, older me struggles to justify it sometimes

Eibach lowering springs with hubcentric spacers. Not sure what sizes as previous owner fitted them and I've never checked 😂

One of the quietest exhausts is the Invidia Gemini with stock cats. Nice burble on idle and very tuneful through the Revel range but in no way intrusive with next to no drone. I'd go as far to say fractionally louder then stock with way more tone. I had one on my 370z but swapped it out for an ARK Grip as it was too quiet for my liking Obviously any sports cat WILL make it louder, no doubt about it. If it was my money I'd want the sports cats with the helmz resonators if possible to reduce any drone or rasp

Nice looking Z there pal, bit of a special one with the factory Nismo kit? Gallery Gaskets would be another consideration if you've not thought about it already

Good Morning everyone, Can I ask what insurance companies people are recommending? Long story short I've been with Brentacre for the last 10 years and the last few years every year it's gone up. My own circumstances haven't changed, 10 years NCB, mileage is getting lower and lower and Im not getting any younger haha. What other insurance companies are people using? Cheers

Sold my set 5 years ago for 1700 with tyres, which now i regret massively. Out of interest I've been after a set for a while now... have you thought of a price?

@ballistic there we go. Not alot to update, it's not changed a lot. 2024 has been an odd year with health issues thrown into the mix and a majority of my income going into private healthcare MOT'd and service last week, another 1900 miles done in a year. Almost wonder if it's worth it sometimes But a picture none the less

Love love love Meister Rs and Jerricks company as a whole. To give you an idea, every set of coil overs ive ever owned, Civic Type R EK9 and FN2, Nissan 350z, and in the future hopefully the Nismo have all been Miester Rs. I wouldn't go anywhere else for the price range. The Nismo is on eibach lowering springs and it does the job but they're way too crashy imo town driving is a nightmare Put it to you this way, if I could spend your money you'd have a set already on the way I vouch for them that much. Yeah somewhere in the 370z section not updated it in a while lol

Much as I love my Nismo seeing yours makes me miss the fun of a good old fashioned older project. Car looks stunning and the power to back it up
