  1. I did mine through RSR it's called public driving experience. I think it's 5 or 6 30min sessions for €400 or 1 session for €100 https://www.rsrnurburg.com/calendar/spa-trackdays
  2. The pistenclause is owned by sabine schmitts parents and her her sister works there who looks just like here lol a couple of teaser pics, last one is my times, I need to update it when I go back in July and put "june 18 e46 m3" then "july 19" lol it's not just me grafitiying though youl see everyone done it, so maybe take a marker to add to the collection of your 1st time
  3. Not so much really, you've got to think most people that go to ring to visit generally go for the weekend or a long weekend, especially bank holidays. Saturday will only be open 5 till 7 30 Sunday will be 8am till 7 30. Check on the nurburgring website because times are sometimes different If it was me, go on Saturday evening be there before it opens get your tickets etc, when it opens youl hear a little alarm and German announcer then see everyone scatter for their cars and itl be madness usually for about 15mins because everyone wants to get out straight away, so just wait maybe 15 to 30 mins till you see the que nearly empty so itl just be a steady flow of cars. Then maybe do a lap come in chill for 10mins then do another. Once you've done 1 or 2 laps and you realise how it flows it's not so scary, Just keep checking mirrors and move to right when someone's gaining on you and indicate, always indicate, just keep it on to right so the person behind clearly knows you've seen he's coming and your staying out of his way. It maybe sometimes you might want to slow down a touch more than you would normally do to them past before the corner etc because people will overtake mid chicane and things. Then you could get there early Sunday morning maybe 8 30/9 and get another couple of laps in whilst it's quiet, then enjoy the the mayhem and cars galore but Definatly go to pistenclause it's jammed full of memorabilia but on Sunday when the track closes it soon gets full so maybe go and hour before the track closes.
  4. Your also better off staying a bit out of town as staying 2mins away from entrance is over 100euros a night, places like adenau or kelburg are only about 7mins drive away and are alot cheaper. I'm staying in an apartment for 1st time this year, it's in kelburg and it's only 350 euros for 8 nights with a lidl 2mins down the road.
  5. Depends on what days your going but Sunday is crazy busy after 10 am it's good to ecperiance and soak up the ambiance and atmosphere but its definatly the most dangerous day to go out on, don't get me wrong I'm sure youl be fine but it really is a constant flow of cars. Its good to watch from all the viewing points. I like to park up at brunchen (YouTube corner) and walk round the track for an hour or two, there's a footpath that follows the track all the way around about 10feet from the barrier. The evening sessions are a lot quieter Monday to thursday but only open 5 30 till 7 but thats best time to get a few laps under your belt. Also maybe time it right for a VLN race weekend the pit lane and garages are free to the public to walk round during practice and qually on the Friday you can litterally walk around right up to the cars being set up and worked on and have a chat with them when there not wrenching on the crazy race cars, then again you can have a wander around the track on Saturday race day. I'm going for the 4th time in July, Friday till friday, so VLN Fri, sat, mad busy Sunday, then quiet tracktime Mon, wed, Thurs, friday because Tuesday spa have a open driving day on so it's €100 for 30min session. They have an open driving day once a month so maybe time it right for that also.
  6. Iv been organising a few meet and drives out in the northwest around clithetoe area, been doing 3 or 4 a year, usually an hour's drive on some good twisty roads then stop at a cafe then another hour's drive back. Usually get about 10 cars. I'll be organising one about March, give time for the frosty mornings to go and let people get their cars out of storage. Keep an eye out for a post around end of Feb.
  7. No problem, really looking forward to this as I've never been on a driving rally kind of thing or been around Scotland.
  8. Any update on the route @Irn Bru ? locations, hotels etc ?
  9. Also this for anyone intrested... how they built and designed it, and custom parts etc
  10. A decent video from my favourite youtube channel hoonigans. Showing some really cool parts for a track car. They talk about some parts, get it on a lift to show you then take it for a blast. MIght give you guys some ideas for parts to use iv never seen any of them apparently they're off the shelf parts... I especially like the rear suspension and the exhaust.
  11. Likeing the tint, where did you get it from?? Do you have a link by any chance?
  12. If we could possibly fit a big castle in to visit or at least stop by for a pic.
  13. Thanks mate, glad you could make it. I think everyone was jealous of your soft top as it was a cracking day.
  14. ...Or a proper race track for half a day/full day maybe... blyton park would be pretty cheap and has no walls so even the most inexperienced driver could go on track without worrying about crashing.
  15. Official list time lads . 1: Irn Bru + 1 2: ShaunRS +1 3. Rob350 + 1
  16. See you guys in the morning, looking forward to it, it's going to be nice weather as well. I know there's about 6 or 7 zeds coming, a few M cars and an amg 45 so a good mix
  17. This is pretty good timing... I've literally been looking at some cheapish organised rallies that do the nc500 Count me in definatly although not in a zed
  18. Another reminder.... 6 days, looking forward to good drive out. The meet up address is mitton hall Bb7 9pq There for half 9ish, leaving at 10am, Sunday 5th August
  19. I'm definatly up for this, not been out round Wales for a drive before, although I'll not be in the zed I'm now in a german whip. Itl be 2 weekends in a row for me, I'm sorting out a drive out near clitheroe again on the 5th lol
  20. Quick weekend bump and reminder, get your names on the list and stretch the zeds legs guys
  21. So we had about 5 cars, but I've had a few people on the fb page and m3 cutters say abit short notice and their busy etc so with that in mind Ill change the date to sunday 5th august, that way we can get a good group of us together. So again please post below if your interested for SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST. Cheers 1) Rob350 2)
  22. Just put a last minute bump on the FB page and now on here, so far there's about 4 of us, guna ask some m3 cutters if they want to tag along also now I'm part of the m3 gang
  23. Iv just put a post on the facebook page to see whos interested and try and get some numbers. There doesn't seem to be much interest on here to be honest which I'm surprised at, theyve been good turnouts at the last couple, maybe more people use Facebook instead of this. Hopefully get some numbers and I'll let you know, I've suggested 5th august
  24. When I started tracking mine I just upgraded brake pads and tyres to start then got some coilovers when I got abit of money together I used ebc yellowstuff on mine, didn't get any brake fade and could be used on the road as it was my daily aswell, they lasted 12 months I used 18inch rays with yoko AD08Rs really good dry grip very sticky, didnt overheat, again was ok to use on the road and lasted a around 13000 road miles and 3 track evenings. They were pricy though at 180 each but would recommend. In my eyes tyres are the only thing you don't want to scrimp on because no matter how fast or good your car is at handling, you can't do anything with a set of crappy tires on. Recommended tyres would be federal rsr, ad08r, pilot sports, pilot sport cup 2, there's also big reviews about nankang ar1 as a good budget road legal track tyre
  25. The last few meets we've met near clitheroe, Lancashire. We usually have 3 or 4 people travelling for and hour or two to join in the meet and drive out.
