  1. It always pays to shop around, every year, and play them off against eachother.
  2. Spotted heading along Dunham Road towards Bowden around 7.30am this morning.. YS08 OOH.
  3. Starting to fit the stereo tomorrow, but the supplied facia doesn't want to sit fully on the Pioneer. It's a Connects 2 part number stuck on the packaging branded Sosche, some American company. It's like the inner edge of the facia is too deep to sit over the edge of the head unit. Anyone else had this issue? EDIT: Seems like the outer facia has a curve on it, not allowing it to sit flat, nor will it drop over the whole front of the stereo. I've just been to the place I bought it from who tell me these facias are getting more & more common where they fit various models, instead of the manufacturer making several of them... Anyway, he's ordering one of theirs in for me to have a look at. Odd as I've never seen a Z double din install that wasn't a flush fit, yet all the facias I've been looking at have this curve on them..
  4. I see this occasionally at the garage across the road from work, it was there again today. Works system shows it as a 2005 296bhp GT4. Enthusiast given the K9 JDM number plate?
  5. Around 1pm this afternoon leaving the big Tesco's on Chester Road heading towards Stretford. Sounded nice, exhaust tips didn't look standard though, by the sounds of it neither was the exhaust. PL05 XTC.
  6. I'm soon to change my single DIN Pioneer head unit for a double DIN Pioneer, but really don't like the clumsy looking windscreen mounted aerials. Is there an alternative which is hidden, like new cars with them built in?
  7. It was actually a couple of miles just before the services heading northbound about 1.15pm today.

    Clutch noise

Can't help with your problem, but snap, we share the same exhaust system
  9. This was parked up over the road from my work today. I took a peek into the engine bay to find the engine had been removed. I asked the engine place what was wrong with it, apparently the engine was a gonner, no other explanation. Sorry if it's yours.

    25 & 20mm spacers.

Cheers Sim, I'd read that's the most popular size. I know they have to be hubcentric, but prices vary greatly when you shop around. Surely they're all pretty much the same in terms of what they're made from?
  11. As the Z failed it's MOT last week due to a perished inner bush on the n/s/f lower control arm, I've since replaced it & all is good. It's booked in at Drury Lane Service Station next Saturday to get the alignment checked as the steering wheel is off a bit. So what are the preferred spacers on here? If I'm going to do it I want to get them fitted before next Saturday. Answers on a postcard please.. Not literally.
  12. 12.10pm this afternoon, was merging from the M62 from Warrington direction, J12, sadly you got sandwiched between 2 other cars, their poor judgement when joining the motorway. Bloke I'd say in his 40's. G9 JKH @Headphones: Another spot to add to your list.
  13. Around 2.30pm today around Chorley area being driven by a chap in his late 50's / early 60's. MK55 DKJ.
  14. Around 3.10pm today, you were sat on the Carrington Spur road waiting to turn left towards Sale. I pulled up past you in lane 2 waiting to go straight ahead..
  15. I've just had a quote from Hastings as mine runs out at the end of the month. Wheels & exhaust declared just £263 for the year fully comp.
  16. Wasn't sure where to put this, but I bought a pair of them last week from a UK seller on ebay (motor_performance), think they were roughly £13 delivered. I opted for the clear instead of black ones. I wasn't expecting too much but they're nice & bright, orange & fit perfectly. No wobble or wonkiness. Only time will tell how long they last. A little video of them doing their thing: https://easyupload.io/n4grn5

    Help!!

Have you tried it manually in the drivers door lock? I've then start at finding out if it has power at the battery.
  18. On the way to work yesterday & this morning at around 6.10am & a silver 350Z passed me around the same time on Carrington Road A6144, I flashed both times but didn't see any sort of acknowledgement back. Didn't get the reg but it had a large wing on the back.. Not seen this one round here before.
  19. I knew I had the pic somewhere:
  20. I had mine done almost 2 years ago at Drury Lane Service Station in Failsworth. They had what looked like a welder, but was actually some sort of induction thing that heated the area up around the bolts & they just came loose. Worth looking them up, they know their stuff.
  21. Maybe you or the hoover bumped / knocked it & you hadn't realised what it's function was? Maybe there's nothing actually wrong.
  22. Driving along Manchester Road, I was on my electric scooter heading home. Was about 2pm yesterday, reg was NL05 PYW & had 2 occupants inside.
  23. Passed me this morning after sitting in traffic anti clockwise at junction 9 Trafford Park about 6.25am. Went past me with your windows down & a loud exhaust. GK05 WOY.
  24. I can just manage to get to them from the top. Using ratchet spanners help a lot. Remember that as the bolt is upside down, you'll loosen the way you'd normally tighten, if you go from above. Just don't forget to loosen the bolt in the centre of each pulley first, IIRC they're 12 or 14mm.
