    Hi,

Employment type/sector can certainly affect quote rates. Insurers set their rates based on claims, and the occupation/employment sector can play a part in this.

The type of cover required can also be a factor.

We'd be happy to provide you with a quote and talk through the various options, to make sure that you get the cover you need.

Please contact our sales team on 0800 917 2274.

    Hi Simon,

My point is regardless of what sector I provide support to im still IT, how does the end user being a teacher or a chef or whatever impact my price ?

  2. Lets see if we can get an answer to this one this time....

I work in IT, but when I said it was IT in the Private Education sector it was cheaper than when I put IT field engineer in the Hospitality Sector

Additionally, the first quote (current price) has Business use, commute and SDP the latter was for SDP only.

So Same person, same car, same address, same job type just in a different sector. Very different price.

Be very interested to know as im currently thinking of making big changes to my cover, she is sat in the drive most days now and only comes out at the weekend.

What was I talking about?! There is no rear washer reservoir (having checked the handbook yesterday eve)...!!

Sorry guys, I wasn't pushing the wiper stalk forward to get the rear squirter working, just turning the end of the stalk like how it operates on my other cars!

Double DOH!  I'll get me coat.... 😬

Phew! Thought I was losing my mind. Been over every inch of the car and never found one.

I've owned my 370Z for over a year now and it's now dawning on me that there's a separate reservoir for the rear screen! I wondered why the front is full and squirting freely and rear one is doing nothing!

I really should read the handbook....

Hi will when i bought my nismo i took it to a professional detailer he measured the thickness of the paint and it was really thin, he said he wouldn't want to machine polish it any more than once due to the paint be so thin, maybe take it to an expert for advice

Yeah the paint does appear to be quite thin, my main aim is to get it 70-80% better I don't think high 90's is possible without too much risk. Lucky they are really fine marks and nothing that requires a heavy cut. To be honest they are not really noticeable, but I know they are there and it bugs me

Scholl S30+, on a light cut pad (Tangerine Lake County Hydro-Tech) is a perfect combo for soft Nissan paint.

As a side on this, I know pressure is subjective and will vary depending on the size of the gorilla holding the tool....

But what would you suggest pressure and speed wise ?

Just enough so it doesn't bounce or hop or enough to slightly compress the pad on say a 5 or 6 speed ? Is faster better ?

  7. Lovely motor.

Not sure if they would help with the sale or value etc. But I have a pair of stock intake hoses I removed from the Nismo along with the jubilee clamps. If you want to put it back to 'stock' in that sense you can have them

  8. As title really, as the meaty part of the meet/show season approaches, what is the best fine compound/finisher for use with a DA polisher to remove those annoying ultra fine scratches/swirls/flecks that inevitably accumulate over time.

Not deep but visible when the sun catches them just right. Tried Maguires compound and finish neither worked. Autofinesse Triple masked a few but doesn't really seem to polish them out. Tried a firm black pad and a softer yellow pad with at least 8 passes on 4 different areas same result....

So, detail guru's point me to something that works please :)

Just press the ignition button once without pressing the clutch or brake to turn it on.

Exactly this, if your foot is not on the clutch, it won't start and just turns on Aux power

  10. Yeah i'd try a window reset as above, mine did this after disconnecting the battery to change the steering wheel.

Every time I opened the door it would drop 10mm and not go back up.

    1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.
    2. Close the door.
    3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch.
    4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.
    5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.
    6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other window
