Can't take that test seriously. He didn't once mention looks, let alone prioritse it.

Exactly, who cares about wet and dry grip, we care about tread pattern and sidewalls

Lovely pics, looks sweet - what's next?

Well the list is long, but thinking Nismo mats, carbon roof cap, hose kit, Nismo mirror glass, been looking at some splash guards on Torqen, but not sure if they fit the Nismo ? And I want some 3/4 glass louvres but want them in carbon but struggling to find them, Torqen are on the case though :)

How are you supporting the bonnet in those first few pics? Can't quite make out what you're using.

The bonnet stay, I just painted it red to match the engine cover etc. There is a handy hole next to the latch that it fits into :)

  4. Yeah was the only Z there so got plenty of attention. Was a good mix there on the day, few whoppers revving the knackers of their cars while stone cold but it was minimal. The rollers were done by one of the lads, he is a bit of a photographer that's for sure. They were the ones he shared in the group chat, so thought i'd pop them on here. Deserves a bit of exposure for hanging out the window with a 2 grand camera in the rain

Try the T3PA pedals, the brake is a billion times better. And the TH8A gear stick is a lovely piece of kit too

And yes, this is an expensive hobby  I couldn’t go back to regular game pads for racing games now though, with the exception of the Forza Horizon series. That def wants a pad, but everything else (you have to try the official F1 games) is infinitely better with a wheel. And tbh, any wheel.

Yeah I was going to get the pedal upgrade, but I just don't use it often enough to justify it. The dense foam mod made them good enough for what I required.

  6. Always been a fan of the GT series, got a wheel and pedals etc. Sadly I lost interest in GT sport, too many dick drivers just punting you off.

So moved over to ACC on pc with the triple screen set up :)

May be tempted back for 7, just because....

We should arrange a race/drift night once a month, a virtual meet

I hear intake noise with the k&n as is too, but the idea of making it louder and adding a visual mod to the front excites me!ha.

Good shout with the piping. That was the 2nd option I was thinking of. Seen some ready made tubes for the 350z. But nowt for 370z.

Don't really  fancy using cheap universal eBay piping, but might give it a try as a first go 👍

You could template it up with the cheap ebay stuff, then go to a company and get it made from Alu tube. Might get yourself a little side earner if they can churn them out cheap enough

Suppose you could always cut the bumper, fit the ducts but put a diffuser type thing in front of the filter to stop direct water ingress ?

  8. I have the Z1 CAIS fitted, not bothered with the vents and you can still hear intake noise at certain speeds. I suppose if you put the vents wider to the sides it will reduce water hitting the filters, on the Z1 the filters are in the middle behind the Nissan badge.

Personally, i'd duct up from lower down and not chop holes in the front bumper :)

That said, I've heard good reports on Falken FK510(?), don't last as well but good grip.

Had the Falken FK, cant remember if they were the 510 or 512 ? But as you say, grip was superb but they were a soft compound and were soon chewed up.

Either way, both the Falken and PS range are way better than the crappy Bridgestones they put on the Nismo as standard, god awful tyres.
