  1. This makes me think I am in for an ass kicking
  2. Sure, but in the interest of getting a group going I was planning a new thread so I can manage times and wanted to kick us off with some good ones. Also temporarily loved the delta wing but it does have strange handling characteristics compared to almost everything else.
  3. Would people prefer a PP and drive layout restriction or specific cars. Or a mixture of the two? I tend to prefer the everybody stock type competitions but depending how much traction this gains we can always mix it up as we go along. As I said before I am working away this week, will probably be Saturday before I get round to doing this. I think I will likely start a new thread so I can have times maintained on first page and will link to it from here so any one checking up can find where we have moved to.Edit: the zed I also absolutely crying out for a wash, so may have to do that first too.
  4. OK, I when I get home from working away this week I will get all the GT6 updates installed (not played for a while), scope out some ideas for track/car combos and tentatively post a new competition. I will also check my psn account (can't remember spelling of name, been a long time) and post it up for others to add should they wish.
  5. If there is any interest in starting up another friendly competition I will be on board, might not have as much time to dedicate as some of the early posts in this thread suggest previous competitors did but would happily have a reason to get back into GT6.
  6. Dear me, I go away for a couple of hours and all hell is breaking loose.
  7. Zunderstanding and Zompassion you say?? Now you are just being Zidiculous
  8. Completely agree with this

    help!

    Glad you got it sorted
  10. When I was on the Celica forum I came across a guy who was convinced that changing the belt made his car quicker and started suggesting it to others as an essential mod. I personally don't know if there is anything behind this having not had this experience myself, but my HR drive belt is up for change this weekend so if I notice a marked difference I will rally behind you. My suspicion is however that not hearing a squeal any more provides a bit of a placebo. ( I will happily admit I am wrong if there is any science showing otherwise)
  11. Bah, got email notification of this whilst out and about and thought I will jump on that when I get back, should have ignored guests at meal and posted from my phone. No point wishing you good luck any more either since it seems it has a new home. I will take 3rd reserve if all hell breaks loose and noone above takes it
  12. Is it wrong that I got very offended when someone compared their Hyundai coupe 2.0 se (not even the V6 option for crying out loud) to the Zed saying things like "how similar they are", and "cars like ours". Edit: I would like to add I am not a snob, and don't look down on others for their own car choices etc but if you are going to start a conversation about cars then a 2.0 hyundai coupe and the 350Z must be appreciably different machines. In my eyes at least. Porsche Driver - " I look down on that Nissan owning wannabe" 350z Driver - " I look upto the Porker driver who earns more money than me" Hyundi Driver - "Dicks" I have to confess that I have never been a porker fan. The only one I have ever had a soft spot for was the 944. Whilst I can appreciate they are good cars, and porsche certainly do some awesome stuff (cayenne excluded from this) that I can look on with awe (919 WEC is staggering, 918 awesome thing that humans can drive) they just aren't for me.
  13. I can see where that logic comes from but he was a self-professed petrol head.
  14. I am assuming this is in reference to the greatness that is the GT-four. I really fancied one of these when I bought my t sport but at the time funds wouldn't allow me to run it. Whilst the t sport was a giggle I always knew in the back of my head that it wasn't a proper celica and the lack of torque ultimately ended her days in my hands. I considered one again before the 350 but the 350 had always been one of my dream cars so it had to be that. That and I definitely can't afford a R35.
  15. This post intrigued me from an English language standpoint. Is it poor grammar to coin neologisms? With terms like Zeditis being bandied about the boards I would have thought Zedicated was a natural partner. read that twice and still dont understand it Sorry, I just meant why can't I make up the word Zedicated when we already have words like Zeditis on this forum
  16. It does look like it could have been your avatars appendage perhaps.
  17. I will add my tuppence. Servicing bits all arrived speedily. There was some sugary treats in the box which keep the missus happy, with that and the bubble wrap that my cat loves I think it's the first time that I have ordered anything for any car such that everyone in the house had something to be happy about. Except the tortoise, but he is only happy with fresh dandelions ( maybe Ewen will see this and rectify on next order ) Bonus was that dealing with Ewen was a pleasant experience despite my being a pain in the *** changing my mind every couple of hours over what I actually wanted sending. Will definitely get more business as and when I need it.

    Happy!

Changed the plugs on mine Saturday between f1 practice and qualy. Had intended to do drive belt and gear/diff oil too but had a few beers while qualy was on and decided better of continuing servicing after that. Will do it this weekend coming now. Sorry to hear about the bearing.
  21. For me, road/tyre noise is the only blot on the 350's copybook. Absolutely love it otherwise. I will eventually get round to a tonneau and might try doubling up the boot carpet to see if that helps.
  22. That's the sort of man logic I like to see. Although I suspect the harder sell would be the missus. Could always trade her in at the time I guess.
  23. Ah I see, had no idea where you were based. I have to admit I was very impressed with the look of the 'stang. Prettier in the metal than photos and it is hardly un-photogenic anyway. Nice purchase, have to admit have always fancied a mustang but funds for me definitely don't allow. Maybe when prices come down a few years down the line. Do we think this could be a sensible family car option?
  24. I got overtaken by one of these on the M1 around Leeds yesterday morning. Looked lush, wasn't you was it?
