  1. This is the whole debate really :/ You can get full Japspeed system, Backbox, Mid-Pipe, Y-Pipe & Decats for £400-£500
  2. Touch wood, no. The old broke at the Flexi's from hitting speed hump.
  3. As is said throughout this forum Om7, you pay for what you get. I myself wanted a Y-pipe quick just to get by at the time so went for: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAINLESS-STEEL-PERFORMANCE-EXHAUST-Y-PIPE-FLEXI-DOWNPIPE-FOR-NISSAN-350Z-3-5-/350688552716?fits=Car+Make%3ANissan%7CModel%3A350+Z&hash=item51a6aaa70c:g:06AAAOSwPRlXm10K 2fast2cool is another alias for Japspeed, when I ordered mine they came labelled with Japspeed on.
  4. 2nd dibs on diffuser if alexdax pulls out.
  5. People love the Stilien Y-Pipe (No Flexi) and Motordyne XYZ (w/ Flexi)... Just remeber that most aftermarket Y-Pipes are a 3" bore, OEM 2.5"
  6. This is very interesting indeed, as I too recently fitted a K&N oil filter, but I use Castrol Edge 5w40 and mine had the opposite effect, the oil pressure was abit lower than with OEM filter :S
  7. So throughout my Zed ownership so far I have only ever had a cone style CAI on the car. Recently purchased the stock OEM system and upon inspecting the airbox saw Nissan's original sticker and made me lol, "Never fill up oil when dipstick is out". Oh if only I saw this a while back, would have saved me alot of ball ache and clean up xD Anyone else share my mistake?
  8. Since inspiral replied today, I went to have alook, found the current listing expired, so found their updated one..... http://www.ebay.com/itm/350Z-G35-Front-Lower-Rearward-Control-Compression-Arm-Ball-Joint-Right-RH-RF-/221540939798?hash=item3394de7816:g:Q60AAOSwD0lUgfA7&vxp=mtr 5 Years Warranty Included! Think I might take the plunge.
  9. Sounds like overfuelling due to decats, have you had Up-Rev tune yet? I haven't yet and mine does this alot because of it, however apprently if you go to get the Up-Rev tune and like that sort of thing you can request pops and bangs on the overrun.
  10. Unfortunatly yes, Random Misfire possibilities: Coil Pack, Crank/Camshaft Sensors, Spark Plugs old/fouled, Blue Smoke: Blow-by PCV Valve Valve Stems, Piston Rings/Oil control rings worn. Cylinder Bores worn.
  11. Are you the one that lives in the house with the 90 degree driveway that used to have a orange Zed and Audi TT?
  12. I believe the correct term is MAF Housing PM ZManAlex, might have a used one.
  13. I'm assuming no cars drive in the South of Wales to be that cheap.
  14. Got insured about 10 days: 24 y/o 4 NCB's (Protected) 5 years License held. Fully Comped £400 excess (£100 Vol - £300 Com) £870 - AXA Insruance
  15. This is what also confuses me sometimes. I always believed: If revs go up and no power = clutch if revs go down and no power = traction control or could be the other way.
  16. Did you have a exhaust leak or something? One side darker than other?
  17. Sorry to say this Lindsey but I think you're being had over here, the evidence dont add up from this "garage"? Smoke on COLD start-up; White Smoke? (This is condensation and completely normal) Blue Smoke on the other points to valve seals being likely. "They recommended a flush" - DONT NOT do this. You will need to explain the rattle a little better or make a video. Is it hard knock near the top of the engine that you explain as a rattle? It should like they have no idea by trying to throw additives and engine flushing... This will lead you to a new engine. Will either need more info for myself or someone more senior to help on here or there is specialist garges for the 350z that are also on this forum, includes but not limited;Abbey Motorsport and Horsham Development.
  18. Don't quote me on this, but I believe the CD009 was made for the VQ35DE, which would be a good indication if you have that engine.
  19. Can we first decipher what you have stated? Oil on spark plugs, Got the T-shirt for that also. Can be fixed from aftermarket o-rings or new valve covers. A real Misfire should generally trigger EML if it is that bad. Common problems of Misfire include but limited to: Coil Packs (Should trigger EML if dead) Camshaft Sensors (Once again should trigger EML if truly dead) Spark Plugs (Completely dead/fouled etc) Rattle on start up could be ANYTHING, literally. The garge told you rings are gone? You can determine that, do you look like a choo choo train with blue smoke when accelerating down the road? What did he do, in terms of tests to claim both rings and rod bearings are gone? ####### If it is truly dead, it's down to your budget. £1500-£3000 will get you a working replacement engine in good order (from the right person) + fitting and fluids. Engine rebuild can run into double that, but you get peice of mind (of course, once again from the right person doing the work)
  20. Mapping or tuning doesn't necessarily mean extra strain on the engine, in most cases actually makes for a more smoother, efficient package once "tuned" or "remapped" properly.
  21. I am running Silenced Japspeed Decats with the "Generic" Right Angle spacers, 7,000 miles no EML (Touch Wood)
  22. It does say on the dvla gov website it can take up to 5 days to show correctly online.
  23. Are you sure this isnt just the TC kicking in? I mean based on this comment alone, my theory you would have been over 3k maybe 3.5kRPM in 4th gear doing 60MPH, changed to 5th, dropped clutched, acclerated hard (maybe ground was a little wet or loose gravel who knows) TC kicks in for a second then gives it back. I hope its not your clutch again though
