  1. Dont worry about the number of owners to much, its common for these cars to change hands after a year or so due to peoples circumstances changing and the need for a bigger or more practical car. Take your time looking for one, the best thing you can do!
  2. Lovely car! Just not 100% about the colour, if it was a little darker, say like a midnight purple it would look awesome, sorry mate
  3. Ive got exactly the same issue at the moment, occasionally squealing a little on start up but then goes away. As im selling the Z soon im thinking this is probably something I should get sorted as not to put potential buyers off. What would I search to buy both belts?
  4. I did hear endless tails of reliability problems, but to be fair, had I a garage to keep it in, and could afford to keep the 123d as a daily then I might have gone for one. I am actually waiting to see how my friends react as none of them have anything remotely like this. Whether they will think ive won the lottery, or whether they will be jealous, or think if of me differently than they did before. Will be interesting to see. Awesome car mate, im currently turning the other way with my car choice, something less powerful with great mpg that saves me money compared to the Z, most likely the new TT. I know that feeling of friends being different when getting a new car though. When I had my old Celica they would always ask 'hows your car?' Once I got the Z all but 1 of them were totally disinterested. Having non car guys friends sucks! I hope yours appreciate what youve got 😉
  5. Love it mate! Personally a big fan of these, reminds me of my old celica but quicker and better looking! I myself am looking to get my first brand new car in the next couple of months, Purple GT Scirocco for me
  6. Take a look at my thread in the wanted section mate. Jay offered me his HR bumper but ive just purchased one so his is still available!
  7. Sorry for getting back to you a bit late Jay. I managed to get one for £60 yesterday (not perfect) and got a friend of mine collecting it from Southampton for me. Good luck selling yours though, you should have no problem as there is only one on eBay and its completely battered for £80
  8. Strangely the equivalent Golf is more expensive and in my opinion not quite as good to looking as the Scirocco. Although not as spacious inside this isnt something that would bother me to much. Just saw a 15 plate White TT parked in the gym though, pretty good looking motor
  9. Hang on, I thought this was a business car? Are you not VAT registered? Deal in second hand goods (Antiques) so cant charge our customers VAT therefore not VAT registered. We can still qualify for business cars, we just cant claim the VAT back.
  10. Price mate, its £100 more a month with VAT. Also I find Golfs very average looking really, although I must admit the R is nice just expensive for a Golf
  11. Unfortunately the Z will have to go to make way for the company car. What I get for the Z will go in savings for a house deposit with the girlfriend then one day il go back to something fun for either the weekend or as a 2nd car. Right now ide settle for something with a combined mpg of 40 or more as anything is better than the Z's. Sacrificing performance is something ive got to accept just as long as its not something totally slow. A rocco 2.0 GT has around 46 combined mpg and will do 0-60 in 7.4, that ide be happy enough with. It also starts at around £180 a month inc VAT.
  12. In 10 years time Im sure I will definitely be in the same boat. Taste matures like a fine fine
  13. Haha well its a nice car none the less, my girlfriends Dads is black with black alloys and does look smart. As a 25 year old ide feel a little out of place in it
  14. Juts had a look at the Golf R business rates. They would be around my maximum spend for a 5dr model but the mpg on them isnt great. I think ide sooner have the Rocco GT, for a little less money and better fuel economy.
  15. It will be a 2 year lease mate. I know what you mean about the C220d, its a great looking car but certainly wont be as much of a refined drive compared to the 3 series. The only issue I have with the 3 series is just the sheer number of them I see every single day. I would like something slightly different although it certainly wont be uncommon like the Z. Most likely wont be going for the maintenance option as I would sooner have the extra £50 a month for other things. The XE is affordable but Im not a big fan, its more a retired gent turning up to golf every weeks car if you catch my drift.
  16. My eyes popped out when I clicked on the post Ballistic 😆! Nice tidy A3 though mate, looks nice 😉 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Lexus is the biggest 'premium' seller in the US, the last few years they have out sold Merc/BMW/Audi, and ultimatly who really cares about what other people think?? BMW/Merc/Audi are as common as muck in most cities, and having owned a BMW previously I can tell you first hand theirs nothing premium about their build quality and realibity is on par with Peugout/Renault . Lexus do 24-48 hr test drives without much hassle. Try one and you might be surprised what you think. You are right mate, I think il look in to it more. Saying that I love the RC but its out of my budget, saw one at the weekend and looked really smart in the flesh. The worst thing for me would be owning a car and seeing tons of them driving up and down the motorway, aka 3 series.
  18. The lexus' are really smart and also fairly inexpensive for a standard model. Ive always liked the styling but they just dont quite have the badge power but I suppose that shouldnt be a priority 😉
  19. Interested to why you think this mate. Out of all the cars ive mentioned the Scirocco would probably have the highest spec for my budget, I could afford the GT but not the R. My wife had a golf, initially I mocked her for buying a soulless car, but after driving it on odd occasions I found it quiet enjoyable. the standard golf interior was ported straight into the sirocco, and actually it was a nice place to be, felt solid, everything worked and never had an issue. I now have the Touareg; ok its not a golf but I have come to find the german manufacturer has got it right a lot of the time. I also prefer the shape of the rocco over the standard golf. I am tempted in the future if I down size to get a hot hatch and the golf R is top of my list. Great stuff, does sound like a good car to drive. A friend of ours has a TDI golf and loves it, the rocco GT is just about in budget but F is to expensive really. The scirocco is possibly the cheapest out of all the choices.
  20. Hi Jay, sorry im over in Nottinghamshire. Whats the condition like? Im actually in the process of buying one I found on eBay although it does have a small split.

  22. I know what you mean about being a retired teachers car. I personally like the A class with AMG pack in Green with the Black multi spoke alloys. It would be myself paying for the fuel and tax as im self employed, the TT is nice but hate that it has the 'Hair Dresser' stigma. In response to the Jag suggestion from you guys, an XF would be at the very max of my budget and that would be for a base XF but unfortunately my girlfriends Dad owns one and hes not at all a car guy
  23. Thats an interesting one Luke. Never even crossed my mind! Il check what the rates are like and have a look when I get home
  24. Definitely boring engines im afraid Ekona. Could splash out more for some performance but got to compromise for the lower running costs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
