[SOLD]Bilstein B6 Sport Shock Absorbers £330
Oversteer replied to GeorgeB's topic in 350z Parts For Sale
Good man, I don't want to increase crashiness at low speed - is it harsher bumpier or just a bit firmer? That's a sweet Z you got there! With Ohlins too Will have a think and do a bit of research -

How come you're selling? Does the ride become much stiffer? Guessing the washer can be bought separately? Did you sell these to GeorgeB?! -
A slightly more entertaining video from the skid pan https://youtu.be/_zzU7f6OL78

Welcome Max; lovely looking motor

Looks great! Hard to evaluate the wheels with the one pic, but from that perspective I think they look quite good. Mine has a Cobra catback, Berks HFC & Motordyne Y-pipe and sounds amazing! Your Cobra will defo be an improvement on stock for sounds, looks and longevity

Congrats Lee! Looks like a great motor; impressed with the no hesitation once the green light was given -
Pedal available from here: http://www.torqen.uk...8016-ab000.html

Fitted mine today! I also found getting the plastic securing piece off the original pedal to be a bit of a mind-boggle, but realised that the whole plastic section is one piece - the clip that one prizes off with the screwdriver is a very small part of a much larger plastic 'block' - I couldn't get perspective so took a load of pictures, these may be useful to someone fitting in the future: Top bit, clips around the square section of the pedal (clip is part of the whole plastic structure!) View from looking up at the outside half of the plastic clipping over the metal square bit at the top ('wiggle it') Bottom half of the plastic piece; this clips out easily once the more tricky 'wedge' clips at the top are released New pedal clipped in at the top - it clips in very easily (took this to convince myself it was actually clipped in properly!) Bottom section - just squeeze and hear/feel 2 slight clicks as bottom half clicks in to place Looking forward to the commute tomorrow

Cheers for the guide! Feel more confident doing this, knowing what to do

I had envisaged something more like this but I'm a novice, it's a half-hour session and had managed a few better slides earlier on!
-
Thanks for all the welcomes few locals too; look forward to a meet soon! The skid pan session at Thruxton was great fun, the instructor started by telling me the surface was, "like a frozen lake"It's all quite slow and getting used to it - don't want to bin it & got some good slides going, a short video is here: (but not many of the deep angle prolonged skids I'm afraid) https://youtu.be/nELvy6qFgZo (it's no Tokyo Drift, the far section was a small hill / negative camber and the surface was not uniform in water coverage / grip etc - as the instructor said, "it's all about practice")

Welcome back! Quite a difference in colour depending on lighting! Looks are spot on

Samco coolant hoses & aftermarket radiator cap
Oversteer replied to Oversteer's topic in Performance
Great stuff GMballistic -
Reading a guide on here http://www.350z-uk.c...fter#entry12805 renewing the radiator cap at 30,000 miles and coolant hoses at 60,000 miles is suggested; is that accurate? Are there any benefits to having Samco hoses over standard, other than looks or if original hoses have deteriorated? Quite a few radiator cap options - there are different bar ratings (0.9 - 1.3) as well as small and big headed ones. Higher bar cost a little bit more, so guessing they're better; are there any downsides to uprating these?

Thanks for all the welcomes A meet in Poole area sounds good at some point, may be an early exploration of some local tarmac jewels? Only one I'm aware of so far is the Studland road!

My old Zed fyi was supercharged (436Bhp@fly) and although I did buy a Stillen engine damper I never ended up getting it fitted, ...honestly it'll be a waste of money imo for you to buy one Oversteer. I never needed it and just let my Zed run on it's OEM engine mounts which was fine even with it being FI. Personally if you want to improve the drive for the gearbox maybe think about having the oil changed if it hasn't been done already by the previous owner and maybe even the diff oil as well. I noticed an improvement just with this alone on my Zed, ...used to be difficult going from 1st-2nd and from 5th-6th but after the gearbox oil change with added Molyslip there were no more gear change issues. Thanks GMballistic, thought it looked like a good idea but sounds like I'm better off putting the funds towards tyres! Gear & diff oil were done recently, was just thinking it might just be an added bonus (and seemed like a sweet add-on!) Thanks Tricky-Ricky, I saw one fitted to an Integra and it looked very cool and believed the marketing bumpf on the Stillen website! I'd assumed it would be gas or oil filled but it did mention it was a 'long-lasting' solution, suggesting it may not be. More money for the things that are needed!
