  1. did you notice any difference in the MPG going to the wider tyres? I think I will throw the 18"s on and give the zed a try and see if it's the same. My front caliper has been sticking lately or the recent meet over Brecon gave my clutch a hammering haha, 96k on original so maybe. I do have a new clutch kit and flywheel ready which could be handy. If it turns out to be the wheels and weight of varrs etc then I've got my eyes on a set of Rays transcend, 57extreme or Enkei RS05RR.
  2. Hi I've been running the standard Rays on my zed and have recently put on a set of varrstoens with a 9.5j 245/35/19 on the front and 10.5 j 275/35/19 on the back. I know 19's are more for show than go but I can't help to feel a pretty noticeable difference in the acceleration of the zed compare to the stock 18" Rays. So basically have any of you noticed a pretty big difference in acceleration and performance since switching to these sizes due to the unsprung weight etc?
  3. Will try and find a place that will roll the arches then, not sure if arch enemy will roll arches down this way. Another thing, what pressures are you running on your set up? Thinking of 32 front and 34 rear?
  4. Hi, So got round to fitting my ES2 Varrstoens with pilot sports. Fronts are 245/35/19 on a 9.5 et12 rim Backs are 275/35/19 on a 10.5 et12 rim. This seems to be a popular set up which doesn't usually seem to rub. I'm not lowered at all however going around corners more than 20/30mph and over speed bumps I get a loud scrape sound coming from the rears, should is rub this easy? Looking downwards from the arch there is a little bit of tread visible from outside the arch, theres rub marks just on the outside of this. (Trying to upload photos but photo bucket is down at the moment). Car has 95k miles, could this just be simple as worn shocks? Would an alignment with camber adjustment help along with rolling the arches? Chris

    Help

Pretty sure your thinking of the other one which is a solid metal bloc thats suspended from two brackets that wobbles etc. Located by the spare wheel. The one in the photo above seems to be just a boot counter weight. Mine has been removed resulting in a lighter boot to open etc.
  6. 267 HP at the hub which is about 307 BHP flywheel if you add on 40bhp for loss. 95k miles 2006 DE 350z GT Motordyne TDX V2 & Art pipe decats / Motordyne plenum spacer and upgraded felocity stack. Tuned by Abbey Motorsport which I fully recommend.
  7. Good choice, good combination of a nice burble at cruising speeds and coming to life when you step on it :thumb:
  8. To be honest I saw hardly any police in the day time around the area and most of the cars were just cruising around. The night time seems to be a bit more lively though..
  9. Thanks guys, Was defiantly a lot of fun being the underdog haha and good to get a zed amongst them. A kid with a camera came running around the corner from harrods and said " it wasn't that was it? " Seen this too
  10. So last Saturday I decided to spend the day in London with the girlfriend to see what all the fuss is about with the supercars and ended up joining in on the fun in Sloane street! Lots of young and older people with cameras etc filming and taking pictures of the Lamborghini's, Aston martins etc. Not a lot of interest in the 350z as lets be honest its not a supercar...But that all changed when an Aston Martin in front of us started revving which resulted in me having to rev the zed showing just how good the TDX V2 & Art pipes sound! People were filming the zed and not the Aston!!! I was receiving compliments on how good it sounds and how is sounds like a GT-R and managed to pull a decent crowd!! Funniest part was a women looking so shocked while coming over trying to look at the badge on the front of the car not knowing what car it was! (Z badge) Who needs a supercar when you have a zed!! Anyway theres a little clip of the zed at 6:45 in this video below, the video doesn't do the sound justice.
  11. I'm sure I've seen your zed on here. You passed me last night with a flash of the hazards
  12. Looks good, I started using this recently and it does give a deeper gloss finish to my car but doesn't seem to hide much even light swirls. It's a nightmare if you have a lot of tiny stone chips in the front bumper as it fills them and then dries white leaving the chips noticeable. I couldn't even buff it out ,
  13. You won't be disappointed with a cobra and there's really not that much drone.

  15. I'm 10 minutes from the old Severn bridge, England side What time you planning on leaving? Should be a good day.
  16. Looks to me like a Stillen series 2 front bumper with out the reflectors.
  17. That's different.. Anyway heres a splitter that fits yours. http://www.bodykits.com/Street-Scene/Front-Bumper/Nissan-350Z-Street-Scene-Front-Splitter-for-Generation-2-Bumper-Cover-_-950_70319/846337/
  18. Strange, i've always thought that with all the good things the Japs did to the zeds that theres always something silly,
  19. Looks good, I use Meguiars dash & trim restorer which also works a treat. It's surprising how much of a difference it can make especially as theres a lot of plastic in the zed.
  20. Cleaned the lip under the rear wheel arches yesterday ( the part that gets rolled) basically got a rag and scrapped the inside o. I couldn't believe how much dirt, lumps of mud etc came out. May be worth a try when you wash your car next!! Save any unwanted damp dirt in your wheel arch and weight! aha.
  21. Hi, I'm going to be looking at buying a set of 19" Varrstoen ES2 although I would prefer TE37's.. What offset and widths would you recommend for best fitment with brembos? I would love to have a bit of dish going on and for the rears to be wider. Along with this what tyre sizes work best? I'm not lowered but at the moment I run 18" Rays with 20/25mm spacers which sit pretty good, however I have noticed lately that I have marks in the outside tyre tread from the arches! So obviously if I go 19" its going to be worse? Would it be a case of my shocks being worn or not taking corners like schumacher with the 19" on? Would 9.5 +12 front and 10.5 +12 work?
  22. Have since tried some poor boys black hole on the paint and it does hide a lot of it but it doesn't last long. Wouldn't mind having a full wrap in battleship grey with black trim, roof etc but I also like the Kuro black. Will most likely have the quarter panels resprayed, its just a case of finding a decent place thats near to me (Cardiff) that doesn't take 2 weeks. Damnnnn
