  1. Running the standard 06 airbox with the velocity stack and standard panel filter, was thinking of HKS filters etc but not sure on the filtering side
  2. Apart from the dense air wouldn't keeping the engine bay cooler help with performance? I thought vented bonnets would help in reducing the amount of hot air under the bonnet which in effect has more oxygen in the air due to it being cooler? Few times I've lifted the bonnet after a drive and the heat from the bay is crazy hot.
  3. Hello, So now the cold nights are coming in ive noticed that the zed runs a lot better at night due to the cold dense air... I haven't done any cooling mods yet but would like to see what you recommend, After market radiators? Mishimoto, AMS? Do these make a difference? Oil coolers? Are these mainly for track? Vented bonnets??
  4. Great job, On average a full wrap for our cars would be around £1500 or £1800 including the shuts/sills.
  5. Thanks guys, I did the TB a few months back before I had the Uprev done, just never thought of doing the MAF. I suppose the MAF mainly gets dirty if your running oiled filters etc? My TB was stinking though!
  6. Hi, Going to give the MAF sensor a clean, do I take the little tube off and leave the sensor on and then spray inside the tube onto the sensor or do I take the sensor out completely? Thanks!
  7. MPSS from tyre leader are £656 Fitting & balancing costed £70 Rims from Tarmac £1200 Total £1926 Saving of £326 which I think is reasonable?
  8. I'm based in Cardiff For anyone who can't collect I can package and arrange for a courier to deliver these to your door for £1700.
  9. Just happened to be stopped at the lights and a middle aged women and man in a sporty looking astra say " how much is that pushing... where did you get that from....is it yours?....really? REALLY?" I do admit that I look young and so a lot of people think that I sponge of the parents which is far from it.. Made my own business and I earn my own money!!! The zed does get a lot of attention around here, Funny one the other day, stopped at the lights in cardiff central and 3 young kids on bikes (looked about 10) say "nice car" "rev it" and so I did. They then said " awww I can smell it"..." That's lovely that is" haha!
  10. Kids love the zed, its all blacked out so probably think its batman haha.
  11. I noticed a difference going from 30psi to 35psi, steering felt a lot better. Im running FK452 all round but recently changed the rear for goodyear F1 and so far grip is excellent, they are reasonably priced too.
  12. Motordyne TDX2 x ART pipes. Less rasp, sounds aggressive, looks good and pi$$es the neighbours off Headers next
  13. Cant believe I'm letting them go this cheap but £1600 buys them! My room smells like a tyre shop!!
  14. Sure no problem, with the 19's I just felt that I had lost a bit of handling and performance due to the larger wheel compare to the 18" Rays. With the beacons on my doorstep I usually go for a good drive and I just felt that I got along with the car set up better on the 18" Rays. Up until now I had being doing mods that would save weight and squeeze any extra hp from the car such as the MD system, ART pipes, Plenum spacer, velocity stack, UPREV etc and so now it makes sense for me to go for a light weight 18". The traction however is amazing with the 19" pilot sports and look incredible. I did put a post on this forum asking if anyone noticed the difference going to 19"s and the majority said that they didn't notice any difference. But I'm one of those people that any tiny little difference will bug me aha. Im probably going for the Enkei RPF1 which is one of the lightest 18"s but don't look no where near as good as the ES2.
  15. Do it , probably end up putting them on piston heads forum soon as well so not sure how long they will be around for!
  16. Hi, I have a set of Varrstoen ES2 19" matte black alloys complete with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. These alloys/tyres have hardly done 100 miles and so the tyres could still do with bedding in!! I bought the wheels from Tarmac Sportz (trader from here) and were delivered to me 2 weeks ago so these are pretty much brand new. A very popular set up in the USA that can be seen here: http://my350z.com/fo...-thread-47.html Still have original boxes. Sizes; 19" 9.5j fronts ET12 fitted with 245/35/19 19" 10.5J rears ET12 fitted with 275/35/19 These really do look awesome on a zed and I'm gutted to be selling them but I've decided (while kicking myself) that these are not suited to my driving style! I am now going back to the 18" lightweight route. £1400 collection or delivered via 24 hour courier.
  17. Careless people about. I had a women hit my door while I was in the car, before I even had time to get out she quickly reversed and dissapeared! Nothing worse than parking on the other side of the car park and some idiot parks right next to you to the point there's no room to get in!
  18. Yeah, I suppose to most drivers its no big deal and they do look pretty sweet but all my latest mods have been done to try and get some gains so these may end up in the sale section soon. One of the best looking wheels on a zed that I've seen though (apart from te37s)
  19. hmm just weighed the new front wheel compare to the Rays: Varrstoen front 9.5j with a new Pilot Sport tyre - 48 lb Stock Ray front 8.0j with a 4mm tread Falken - 42lb I think the pilot sports are pretty light tyres compare to some? But considering the varrs is 1.5 wider I thought it would be worse. Not sure on the 10.5j rear though!
