  1. Great shout, I'll check it out in the morning to see which way the chap did it. I must admit that's the one slight (very slight) disappointment with it, I wish they were a little more discrete.
  2. Looks great and I like the rolled tips. Think I'm gonna leave my bumper as is to keep it a little more subtle.
  3. Looking forward to that
  4. Finally got round to getting an Ark Grip fitted by Mitz at cougarstore. Prompted mainly by failing the mot a couple of weeks ago. Love the look of it and it's sounds superb. Nice and quite at cruise, especially compared to the blowing oem, but nice and deep when giving it some beans, nor fully tested that bit out given the wet weather on the drive home.
  5. I bought mine from them about 12 months ago, personally have no issues with them, probably didn't get a great deal on the car, but that was my fault for being impatient and trading in an undesirable wagon. As for after sales, I had the standard leaky boot vent seals, they replaced both no problem (admittedly they're only cheap parts). They left me the keys to prod and poke around the car for as long as I wanted, test drive again left me to it with my old man so I could have been out for hours if I wanted. They clearly have a bad rep and people do have bad experience s but as long as you go in with a clear mind of what you want, get things in writting as ekona says if there's anything you're not sure about. I'd happily use them again....waits to get shot down
  6. Mine started to rattle a little while ago, couldn't work it out to start with, come MOT time turns out the pipe had rusted right through at the joint nearest the backbox, but embarrassing I couldn't work it out myself. Not sure on the warranty, I know the one I bought with mine doesn't cover exhausts and it was the "platinum" for what it's worth. Still, excuse to get the ark grip on at the weekend from Mitz at cougarstore
  7. Isn't it just the gtr that only certain dealers can work on?
  8. Cripes, I'd be gutted if a set of tyres only lasted 6.5k let alone a clutch. Can't offer anything more than has already been said I'm afraid. Good luck and hope you get it sorted
  9. Nice tool. Just checked mine and the first year failed for all four tyres being below legal limit, hope the rest of the car was cared for better, passed each year since then though. Wish I'd not looked now :o
  10. Tempting. I've seen this before and I always imagined the bike flying off the back or side round a bend, but the reviews eased that worry. How does the paintwork and body cope with it, I'd have thought the paint would get at least a little scuffed while pressuring up and with the force exerted (especially sideways) on the metal while driving would dent it with it being wafer thin
  11. Genuine question, why is it doing you no favours, apart from the obvious that you won't be able to out accelerate anything.
  12. Heading out of Derby on the A52. Looked to be burning more oil than petrol judging by the blue smoke out back

    Window tint

Looks great, but isn't that level of tint a bit on the illegal side?
  14. Parked up at one of the offices, private plate.
  15. I'm in Derby too, I'd be up for a meet.
  16. ^^^^^ Sh1t drivers do my head in, but they're still allowed on the roads just because they have a license.
  17. This is going to be a bit controversial on a motoring enthusiasts forum, but if like me you ride your bike for either commuting or remotely serious then pretty much all cycle paths/lanes are pointless. They start and end all of a sudden with no-where to go at the end but get back on the road, which in my mind is more dangerous than just staying on the road.
  18. Had windows tinted last Friday, first time I've been anywhere for a pic since. 20% rear, 35% sides, really pleased with the way it looks and the job. From what I've read this combo of tints increases bhp by at least 20 and with the previously added stubby I must be up to about 340 now, happy days
  19. Mitz at cougarstore in Leicester, took mine there a few weeks ago (I'm in derby), well worth the drive, very helpful and knowledgeable and will look after your z.
  20. I had exactly the same thing after I picked mine up in November. Not sure if this is necessary but I removed most of the plastic trim starting with the two either side of the grey z panel to get the polystyrene type tool holder and amp cover thing out the way. I recommend the use of some plastic trim removing tools, a little brute force at times and plenty swearing helped a lot. I did break one clip, but super glue sorted that a treat. The vents are pretty cheap (£6 ish each), although I got them from the garage I bought the car as I noticed within a week. The seal that goes is a pretty sh1t material.
  21. Apologies for jumping on this thread, anyone around the Derby area with one of these fitted I could possibly have a cheeky listen to? Soon be time to replace my rusty tube and wouldn't mind getting as many possibles listened to before it drops off. Cheers
  22. I've been on here previously with my experience of J17 and just to repeat it wasn't bad at all. Certainly no worse than I would expect from any car dealership trying to flog their stock for the max they can. Go in with eyes wide open and don't bend over and you should be fine. To the op, hope you get things sorted out ok and you enjoy your car.
  23. Just been out to it again with the torque wrench, seems like it was only finger tight in the first place. Put the hex bit in and the bolt just turned, gutted I didn't check that first, just didn't expect it to be so loose. Been for a drive and all seems well so far, will keep an eye on it over the next few weeks. Thanks everyone for your input.
  24. Cheers evilscorp, I do have a torque wrench (only ever been used for bicycle stuff to date), what torque should that bad boy be at?
  25. Hi Toon Chris, thanks for your input. To be honest I don't think it's from the fill up directly as its dropped a couple more times on the drive since cleaning earlier and the service was about 4 weeks ago and there was a fair amount on the drive when I moved it off. It's all as dry as I can get it and I've put some paper under as suggested earlier so will see ifs it's coming from anywhere other than that plug. Cheers.
