  1. Update - stuck the car on a couple of bricks to give me a bit of height and cleaned as well as I could, the rough surface and rusty bit didn't help much. But I think the leak is from the plug on the second pic, is that the drain or fill, sorry can quite figure this out. But also the rusty bit is also pretty moist and can't work out if that's just run from the plug leak or actually leaking around that area too. Any recommendations, nip up the leaky plug, if so what torque should that be at? Thanks again for the help.
  2. Thanks for the input guys, I'll give it a wipe down and see what the crack is. Cheers.
  3. Hi Renegade, thanks for the quick response. I know this is a daft question, but which bit on the pic is the drain plug? Cheers
  4. Forgot to mention it's a 2008 HR.
  5. Hi Hopefully someone can shed some light on this and offer some assistance. Moved the car off the drive this morning to give it a clean and noticed oil on the ground. Below is a pic of where the oil is dripping from, but I can work out where it's actually coming out as I can't get under the car fully, no ramps. I had the diff oil changed a few weeks ago by Mitz at cs if that makes any diff (couldn't resist ^_^) Thanks in advance
  6. Like the look of this, the big question is what's the availability of the high octane stuff round those parts, could get through a few tanks round there
  7. ...about lunchtime, noticed while staring out the window at work.
  8. Heading towards Nottingham, looked tasty
  9. I was quoted around £550 for a p3 with coolant and sparks on a hr (sparks are a lot more on hr than previous versions) from a Nissan dealer. I wanted sparks and coolant as they'd never been done and the car is now about 6 years old so due imo. So your quote seems a bit pricy unless they're doing the plugs as well. @paddy, out of interest what tyres did you get and only pay £250 for a p3 all in?
  10. Received mine the other day and finally got round to taking a pic today. Looks the part and well worth the money, thanks again Ian.

Seems like the only place to go is cs, cheers guys.

Interesting, thanks for the clarification, I hadn't realised you'd quoted me a p3 from your site, I was expecting p2 on the basis that Nissan no longer do a p3. And fair point on the oil used. Right I'll give you guys a call to book in. Cheers.

Just had a quote back and its coming in at 510 for the same work, so cheaper, but not hugely. I guess the spark plug change is a bugger or uses different plugs to the previous versions as they've quoted over 200 for that alone as opposed to the 124 on their site. Thanks again for your input guys.

Thanks for the response mate, I'll do a bit of calling around to see what I can get. Just out of interest what would you expect to pay for a p2/major (bearing in mind p3 is no longer) with brake fluid, coolant and sparks? Cheers

    Service quote

Just called up to book my 08 HR in for a P2 with brake fluid and sparks. Only had the car a month or so, but the last two services were 'lube' only, so need to get it back on track with the brake fluid and spark plugs. They quoted me £585 all in for this, which although is a lot of cash I was expecting more to be honest, what are your thoughts? Initially she was quoting £220 for the addition of sparks, but I asked if she could reduce that on the basis that the car is already on the stand, the plugs alone though are coming in at about £90. Now I know I could do all this myself, but I don't feel over confident doing so much work for my first time, I may ease myself in next service with the oil etc then go on from there and also I don't have all the necessary gear to do it and I'm a lazy b*****d. I'm in Derby by the way and they're literally a mile from my door.

    My new Nismo

    Cracking looking motor.
  18. Mate, I feel for you on this. Can't add anything of any value over what others have said. Hope you get it sorted to your satisfaction. Make sure to check them out good and proper when you get them back. Why the hell can't these places look after people's property. The number of times I've had little bits of damage done when taking my cars in for servicing or new tyres in the past is ridiculous. Best of luck mate.
  19. This one did look pretty tidy, although it was dark. It had the 370 decals (or whatever they're called) down the sides.
  20. Done a little googling and seems a fairly straighforward (ish) job to get the A-Pillar trim off, first pop off b-pillar trim, remove a screw under there, then remove top part of the door seal and remove about 8 screws, then it pops off. Seems like a 10 minute job so could save on labour there. Thanks again Steve, glad I did a little research, the body shop would have been taking half the interior apart. Now, how do I tell them how to do their job without looking like a c***.
  21. Oops, didn't mean to double post. Cheers Steve, I'll do a search and see what I come up with.
  22. When you say pull off, what's involved in getting them off? He wasn't sure so assumed it would be an hours worth of work and I don't have a clue. Could save me some pennies if it's a quick job.
