just fixed mine side note - the first attempt it didnt work. arfet the 4 repeates and engine start, the light still flashed - but at a different freqency. it was on for about 2 secs, off for 2 secs, etc. 2nd attempt, cleared it

just thought id ask.

it was right and left i meant, but thanks cheers. i did find a couple of diagrams, and yea they look quite clearly separated from left and right. didnt know they were colour coded too. thanks

hi chaps. Question for anyone thats been tinkering around under the car before. Is it possible to, by mistake, plug the wrong Lamba plug into the wrong socket? Just asking as i have an ecu output showing one bank being adjusted too rich, and one being adjusted too lean. im wondering if the wrong afr signal is being sent to the ecu as the wrong bank. because (from the way i understand it) both banks are quite opposite to each other, in terms of ecu adjusted fueling. i change jobs once a year. 4 weeks into this one. so i get through alot of interviews - ive turned down job because they dont suit my needs: thats probably my advice to anyone, remember an interview is a 2-way process. including wages! i caused a stink with the recruitment agency this time around because i was offered the job, and i said ''great, this is the amount i want £'' which was some £6k on top of the offer they had a fit, but guess what. i spoke to the employers, explained why and sold myself (again) and i got it. always a 2-way street. which ties in with the ''what to tell them'', i always treat every prospect as ''The only job for me'', i tell the recruiters that i am on demand, and that im actively looking and others are progressing my applications. but when it comes to sittingdown with the employers in interview i make it clear that their company is where i want to be. Sell yourself. and by saying you love their comnpany and the prospects and etc, what you are actually doing is complimenting them and inflating heads - works a treat Think of it like a playground social experiment; you always like the kids that are nice to you, and will gravitate towards those kids.

this is part true true, i saw that episode - correct outcome but that wasnt a piggyback, that was a resistor chip ebady, if you have to ask if it works, then it probably doesnt work. I have used a piggyback system on a previous project because i cut a corner going for a full aftermarket ECU (the car in question wasnt remappable, engine mappers couldnt get into the box). A piggyback is generally limited to what it can adjust. essentially it falsifies sensor data to adjust the resident ECUs behaviour. i beleive some newer products like SMT-8 ( i think it was 8?) can do a bit more. but they are generally only of any use if you cant map the resident ECU ... on Zeds, we can. so piggybacks dont have any use or function that make them worth the time and effort.

i dont doubt that. but if a flash is resolvable by reset, then i will only be bothered if A: it becomes solid (which indicates a loss of connectivity to the airbag, im told) or B: if the flashing light is re-occuring. its my typical Microsoftsynrome - first diagnostic is to restart! Then smile when its fixed with no idea what the problem was or how to prevent it reoccuring.

mine is flashing because the bulb got bored of only saying hello during ignition. hes had his time in the lime light. its now time for me to turn him off, the social sod. a solid airbag light is a problem.
