  1. I used to play quite a bit. Unless the rules have changed, Your gun 'has got to be' blue (or sometimes yellow, yuk) when you are new and dont have a licence. once you have been to 7 affiliated games with a few month period, you get your 'airsoft licence' and are allowed to own a reall looking gun. the psi of your canisters is limited, but many people increase it to give more range (and better chance of bleeding an opponant). but as a sport, its awesome. i used to like paintball until i played airsoft. now when i go paintball i cry because its so so so bad.
  2. i keep coming back to stare at the pictures in this thread. in love.
  3. I cant find an emoticon good enough to display my raging laughter at this ! A least you're staying with the Nissan badge on the next one S15 are a nice lump of motor! good luck
  4. Difficult to tell. its all hilly in the new house. my road my drive, and every road within a 1 mile walk is on hills! so when i parked up for an hour in a flat carpark (as per above posts) and it was still covered in oil as it didnt have enough time to settle. i put in a litre, and thats sorted the gauge. If i dip it on my driveway first thing in the morning i get a 'good reading' on the stick (ie it doesnt drag up oil left in the tube), but with the incline the indicated level doesnt mean much. Its in for service in 2 weeks. its pretty much grounded until then except for essential trips.
  5. Forgot to update. i hate the Z dipstick. really hate it. It had actually dropped below the Min mark, which was causing the pressure to fluctuate. but where the dipstck likes to scrape oil on its way out it looked like it was swimming in te stuff. all sorted, just needed a top up.
  6. Looks awesome! sounds like alot of £ for it, but im probably out of touch. looks so good though! gl.
  7. never heard of them. ask him toend you a free sample
  8. ive used torque lite and other bletooth ones before, they are pretty crap to be honest. i say that becase i thought they were funky and useful, until i had some proper ECU software plugged in. the ifference is night and day, and the Apps didnt pick up on alot of faults. Get yourself some proper laptop software andan ODBII cable
  9. my clutch always goes to the floor... how else to disengage? i guess you mean without any resistence in the pedal or something?
  10. Sigh. not my year this one. now my problems turn to the Z. 54k miles, FSH. Check the oil every several thousand miles as its never used a drop, or changed colour when services are due, in my ownership. its due (and is booked in) for its next service in a few weeks. following the 45k interval. I noticed about 2-3 weeks ago an occasional smell of burning oil in the cabin, shortly after giving it some welly. but it was brief and not particularly strong. Checked my oil, plenty in there (in fact, looks well over max, but out dipsticks are pretty crap). However last week i had something pretty fast (M3 i think it was) right up my arse one night as i booted it, and in my rear view mirror i saw smoke between me and his headlights! nice. its been nearly 10k miles since the last service interval. but at previous intervals the oil has still been golden. now its a dark colour but not black or gunky. which ive come to expect in other cars, but its the first time in the Z that the oil has been tarnished. Naturally since getting a wiff i have been very mindful now of the oil 'situation'. tonight i jumped in the car, started it up - and panicked. I check my pressure gauge with every drive and its always a consistent 90psi on cold. However it was just under 60 (half). I had to make a station run for the missus so i took it extra slow and i noticed at every corner, turn or brake the psi would drop between 0 and roughly 20 (less than quarter). on idle its on 30psi, and when running from 1500 rpm upwards its about 50. however to note on idle the needle is wiggling from about 20-35, it wont stay still. so i have pressure, but it has suddenly changed it characteristics. is my oil pump about to go? admittedly the first time i checked the oil it was a few weeks ago but there does seem to be alot of oil in there, dipstick is coming out plastered, could well be nearly double the max line. (yes literally that much). i'm wondering if at the last service it wasnt drained, and only topped up? might explain why my oil is black for the first time. or do i have a bigger issue? the gauge has been sound for 24k miles of my ownership. *also note, car appears to be running fine. not lumpy and no noise coming from the engine that i shouldnt be hearing. I'm thinking my car needs to be 'grounded' until service day.
  11. I wish they took a video of that scene above ^^^ looks like Worlds Strongest Man is about to attempt to drag it out of the ditch.
  12. hmmmm. ok, so i left my car locked, locked by pressing the padlock on my key. I assume this arms the alarm too? missus had access to the spare key that has no remote-locking button. she put the key in the door and turned, the door unlocks. no alarm goes off. key goes into ignitiion and turns fine, ignition comes on but car wont fire. just engine spin. are you saying the alarm should have gone off too ??
  13. Nevermind. they pushed it down the road instead. not had to use the spare key before. great time to find out it doesnt work.
  14. reading that it might not be 'programmed', but its just a generic looking key with Nissan stamped on it, that doesnt actually have a locl/unlcok button. so, im not sure if its an issue with the key or or the fact the key isnt able to turn off the alarm/immob
  15. hey guys, Im at work with my regular carkey. the missus has a spare at hom and the car needs to be moved down the road for a delivery. shes able to unlock the car but not start it. the spare key doesnt have the 'lock, unlcok' button, so i assume the immobiliser is still turned on? any help would be awesome please, im googling away but cant find a hit. (what good is a spare key if it doesnt start the car?!)
  16. Theres an awesome website that has it all listed, they even have dynos of it fitted, lists of traders that sell it, and opinions as to its values. just hit the search button. check it out. www.350z-uk.com
  17. just thought id see how much it is... jesus heck! for the price i am expected to pay in a year i would be well on my way to a second hand engine or gearbox! i'm on 04 plate with 55k miles, and with a single-payout limited to £7k (rought estimate of car value) its £110 per month / £1,300 a year!! does anyone have cover on their Z? im curious to know if anyone has got a sensible price that they pay? Cheers
  18. did anyone else just open up the Calculator?
  19. I Love Vossen!!! i'm struggling to find a set they do that i dont like

  21. TT only has 2 seats also. this is why im bloody annoyed because its mine that is up for chop. i cant seem to get it through her head that its her that is costing her finance each month, but shes got it in her head that because its diesel it somehow costs alot less than mine per month to run. hmmmm. even tallying up the bills wont convince her. i think i might just have to play the stalemate to its death. shes got to concede.
