  1. I am considering making him an offer but I'm aware you can get a damn good cayman for that money.
  2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112260806248?euid=b311cebf25bb4e93b09bdb2d2295f2bc&bu=43359627538&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu Is this someone from here? What do we think to a. the car b. the asking price?
  3. Looks wise I do prefer the 350 but I'm more interested in the drive. I'll book a test drive...the garage is literally only up the road so I may as well.
  4. Ok, I've had my 350z for a few months now and I love it however my local garage has a new yellow 370z in (GT model) and I'm seriously tempted to upgrade. The 370z however is £14000. It's a lot of money......my question are as follows: Are the 370's noticeably quicker than the 350. I know they pack 30 or 40 more break but does that actually translate to a much faster ride than a 03 350? Is the interior superior to the 350. Are they about the same consumption? Are there better sports car available for 14k? Anything else I should know? I think this 370 is a 2010 model. Auto too I think? I presume that means its triptronic? I'm tempted to take it out for a test drive but I don't want to do this unless I'm serious about swopping.....and at the moment I'm just pondering. Thanks guys
  5. What gains can I expect from a uprev? I have a 2003 car with a couple of bolt on mods which currently delivers 286bhp I'm looking to change my exhaust. Is this something I should do before I have my car remapped or doesn't it matter?
  6. As the title suggests. I'm looking for a turbo or super charged 350z. Please let me know if you hear of any for sale. Thank you
  7. I have the same fault on mine. It's down to my aftermarket exhaust which next year I plan to change to a cobra. I've had it knocked off a couple of times but it keeps coming back on so I'm just gonnna live with it till I have the exhaust changed. Hopefully that should sort it.
  8. Yes, upon reflection I agree the sums don't add up. It just isn't financially viable to have it done. I will keep my eye out for one that's already had the work completed. Thanks for your help everyone
  9. I treated myself to a 350z as a 2nd car. My other work car is a Volvo estate. Even now I take my 350 out for late night drives and use it way more than I imagined. My volvo is now only really used for long trips and when I need the boot. The 350 is very expensive to fuel. More than maybe I thought it would be (I'm used to a diesel volvo) but I'm still in the mindset that it's worth every penny I put in it. I still get a thrill when I see it parked up outside my house.
  10. I've had a good sale recently and have some spare cash that needs using up. What better way than to spend it than ramping up my engine? For the record you aren't being trolled. I'm that clueless I'm afraid. I don't think it's google I need so much as a good garage in the know who won't rip me off. Any suggestions in the Midlands? I've been quoted around 4 - 5k for the job all in. That's pretty much what I paid for the car originally. Although going off this thread that figure now looks very ambitious. To be honest if it's getting 6k plus then I suppose I do need to be looking at other options...... Here's a question you can help me with. Will a supercharger deliver more power lower end? As I've learnt to drive the car to get the best out of it I find I'm constantly driving it at or over 4000 rpm to get that instant power and performance. How will super charging effect this? Will it be the same but more so or will having it SC give me more low end grunt.
  11. What is the difference between a super charger and a turbo?
  12. I may be interested in this. What would you want for it?
  13. Ok guys. Complete car layman here. I want to improve the performance of my 350. I understand the only real way to go about this is to turbocharge it. I understand there are kits available? Where can i get such kits? I hear Momentum did good ones but have now gone to the wall? What kind of money are we talking and can you recommend a good place close to the Midlands that can carry out the work. I know this won't be cheap by any stretch of the imagination but I love the 350 (I prefer the styling to the 370) and I want more performance out of it. Thanks for your help Adam
  14. I am seriously considering supercharging my standard 03 car.
  15. So according to the comp I'm getting on average 20 - 25 mpg. Is this about right? I should say I have a really heavy foot.
  16. I'm considering getting my done. Can someone please post before and after pics so I can see the difference?
  17. Talking about dishonesty. I'm pretty sure my car has a dodgy MOT. I saw my car in London and rang the dealer to tell him I was interested in the car and was coming down to view it the next day. He said he would get it MOT'd for me in the morning as I told him I wasn't buying a car with 3 months left on it. I got there to collect the car and low and behold it passed it's MOT with NO advisories......For a car of over 10 years old that's unheard of. I suspect it will probably fail massively next year!
  18. I have a similar issue. Some slight juddering on hard breaking. My car is booked in for a full service next week so I expect the culprit will show itself then. I can live with it as it's really not noticable unless under hard breaking but I figure it will only get worse so it needs sorting. My parents have a steepish drive and I have to reverse up it. It's a complete ball ache as like you my wheels spin constantly. I imagine it will be a nightmare car to drive in snowy / icy conditions. I find giving it hardly any revs and crawling up helps.
  19. I saw the new GTR today at my local McDonald's. What an awesome looking machine. £80000 apparently, but worth every penny I reckon.
  20. How about we work on the 3rd December then? This is a Saturday and not too near Christmas so hopefully people will be free.
  21. OK, What are they and what do they do? Do you know how much are they fitted? I have the car in for a full service a week on Wednesday. I could have them installed then.
  22. Or change the exhaust system? Which I plan to do anyway.
  23. So I had the code read today. The fault was the Oxygen Sensor behind the Cat Converter. The guy at the garage was somewhat unhelpful when I asked what causes this by saying "people shouldn't mess with their cars" (mine has an aftermarket ISIS single exhaust. He's knocked the fault off now so the engine light has gone off but he say's it may reappear. So if it does come back on how do I go about fixing this? My car has sport cats.
