  1. Hey up peeps, my 20" Finichi rears are down to the wear indicators and thus I need two replacements, currently the car has 275/30/20 Falkens on but having read and seen a lot of pretty awful stories about them I would like a reasonably priced alternative , also I notice on the size calculator that my rims should surely have 285/30/20 on , so what's the deal, do the wider 285's rub is that why the previous owner had 275's put on or is it simply a cost option ? Doug

  8. Well update waited 2 and a half weeks and had to wash her...covered in grime and still some chalk......rinsed thoroughly....used light ph shampoo only...was told not to use any force but let the mit do the work...I did ...good job I was warned that a small amount of colour transfer to the mit is normal for the first few washes and that I shouldn't wax until at least a month....used the super drying / polishing cloth recomended in another post and boy am I grateful to that dude using it was a revelelation. Bearing in mind my car was totally unloved and abused by its previous owner I'm off to a good start will post pics when I'm online . Doug

Me and the Mrs are right made up....tonight whilst having our late supper.....cough.....McDonalds....cough the young thing at the collection point leant right out and said " your cars ace m8 you must get compliments all the time " choking back a tear.....we drove off into the night to park up and eat all the time pondering the mystery of the Zed
  18. HELP my rims came with the car but the centres are borked and I need replacements if anyone knows of any ? I would be eternally grateful, also one of my deep rear rims has been kerbed by the previous owner and it looks like a large rat has nibbled it is it worth the agro of eventually having them professionally refurbished ?

OK first proper run in my baby and I get 375miles for £91.00 of petrol super at 1.34 a ltr according to me averages just short of 25mpg is that about right ?
  24. Slight variation on this thread and should probably be in another thread entitled first few weeks of Zed ownership experiences or sum such : Having had my Zed now for nearly a month these things have happened to me: kid ( teenager ) pedestrian whilst in slow traffic steps in front of me and takes a pic been let out of more junctions than ever before had drivers ( mainly young males ) wolf whistle the car as I pass had a female neighbour ask for a ride been tailgated by a b..ch in a golf in traffic blowing her horn and flashing lights ?
  25. So at least a week and a ph neutral wash only ( autoglim ) then maybe a month before a proper wash and wax.
