    Lift

looks higher than stock to me but didn't all those others too ?, if it is it means the previous owner has uprated shocks and springs all round .....but the ground clearance looks right and next to all those Zds at Beaulieu it didnt look higher at all..... Oh bugger it.....would explain it though we need a clearance off...get out and measure your graound clearance ..sill to road and we'll compare

    Lift

Different websites different figures if you go to www.wheelsizecalculator.com and put in 350Z front it says my fronts should be 245 35 20 not the 30s I have

    Lift

No not lowered, the rolling circumference though is less 2057.7mm against 2129.1mm for the standard rays

so im assuming you've end up increased the gap between the road and your underside with these wheels, which would yes cause lift and cause unstable compared with stock ground clearance That's an assumption though as the rolling circumference is altered through the use of rubber band tyres etc you'd think not. As an aside 350Z ownership is not cheap so with my P3 all fluids and belts and plugs booked for next Wednesday this will have to wait. Though it eould be nice to get to the bottom of it.

    Lift

Indeed...I used to roadtest performance cars pre- delivery back in the day and I have driven many a high powered vehicle on roads where legal at speeds well in excess of our paltry nsl

I should of known that was coming...unfortunately my mate did it as a favour and subsequently was reprimanded for it...thats going to cost me a lot of beer & takeaways to put right

OK they are 30s the wheels and spacers where fitted by the previous owner, the aalignment was done by Nissan ( have a receipt ) and subsequently checked by my independant when I bought the car, in the history that came with the car there is no mention of adjustable control arms etc Fyi the rolling radius is pretty much spot on as the speedo is within the excepted misread ie is reading 3mph higher than actual as verified on a rolling road using dot approved equipment. Thanks for your input.

Thats what I thought...maybe its just that my 20" have upset the balance as the aero is of course designed around 18" .

OK car is new to me ....2 months , explanation for spacer theory is on the other thread. The car is standard apart from 20" Finichi Firenze wheels, I love the wheels ( came with the car ) they are straight bar a little pothole damage on the drivers side front ( wheel has been off stripped tested for weakness and it zeroes on the balancer fine ) good job as the wheels don't seem t be available any more & no there is no vibration or all of this would be mute.
  19. Yeah... it's a long story....it all began one bright sunny day on the way to Beaullieu ......a comment was made by another member ref the size of my spacers which as it turned out are not unusual at all ( they must have looked bigger in the sun ) and the instability of spacers was mentioned, now having already had my " RUN " etc I panicked....a little knowledge etc Hence the start off this thread but without further data So now having the data and all the info and help from this excellent forum we have a theorem
  20. Quick update..had my local independant check and all is as it should be, they think I'm suffering from front end lift at high speeds ( see thread Lift )

OK is anypne else getting lift at 130 plus ?, I ask because I took the car to a lovely disussed Aerodrome near me and was fortunate with the owners permission to really give her the beans and the steering is hellishly light once over the 120- 130 mark ?
