    How is she looking

Love it except for the lights. I would just do a light smoke or flyeyes. It seems air is everywhere nowadays. The stance don't bother me but some cant grasp the fact that people dont actually drive around like that and once lifted looks normal. Guys need to chill and appriciate what other guys do. The UK would be a sad nation if we all had ZED's on grids wouldnt it.

    Side skirt fitting

Im planning on using the bolts on the under side, pop rivets on the door shuts and a few blobs of Fibrafill on the rear. That way you can unscrew it, drill out the pop rivets and pop snap the fibrafill, so the whole skirt can be removed. Ill keep you posted.
  9. i have one that could be forsale. Make me an offer...
  10. OK. So last few nights was spent dry fitting these bad boys. Firstly the old bumper had to be removed. Very easy and straight forward. Next was to remove the cill cover so that I could get access to the wings. These were straight forward to remove with just 2 x 10mm bolts inside the door jambs near the hinges, 2 at the bottom of the cill section and one 10mm neat the head light. TBH i thought the new wings were going to be a complete pain to fit because of the initial quality of the GRP, but much to my amusement, they fitted spot on more or less. Each mounting point (tabs and brackets) were all inline with the OEM bolting points within 2mm which is great for GRP. So these are them dry fitted, just needing a small amount of tweeking. So far, so good. Any questions regards these wings, just ask. Oh yes, Ive also filled in the recess that were there for the Z badge and indicator as Im thicking these would distruped the lines on the vents but also as Ill be adding some gloss black shaddow lines to extentuate the scoop as very similar to the GTR, I wound not be needing the badges here. The AMUSE front bumper fitted like a glove and should do comming from RT's. Very pleased. Intersection between new bumper and new wing. Good lines with just a nudge to tweek. So for those who remembered what my objective was, this is it. A few changes....obviously the wings, the colour will now be Audi / Porsche Riviera Blue which I will wrap my self. I will also be moulding in a set of DRL's into the Amuse bumper in due course. Vented cills next and either new seats or re-leather the OEM which I like......keep watching.
  11. if you buy em from Austrailia they will be R/H drive. A few ebay sellers from there doing them. Depo are the others but from USA like Busters ones I think?????
  12. no after market body stuff will fit 100%. Just be prepared. Any bodyshop will tell you about body kits. Albeit some pretty good, but a lot shockingly bad.
  13. imo it was England all the way. A bad descision cost them that match.
  14. obviously genuine Brides then at that price. I know there are alot of copies around. Great seats. Wish they were blue though
  15. why..................................... why do the do that.??
  16. yep got the black edition on mine too grooved and dimpled. Best quality and best prices by far. Also they are on ebay guys. Great Products.
  17. WHERE DID ALL THOSE CHARIOTS GO. SORRY GUYS !!!! :stir: ...................WHY THE HELL DID THEY TAKE YOUNGS OFF AND WHY DID THEY NOT GO FOR THE DRAW???? Despite this, its was an awsome match.
  18. Look great. Nice one. I was going to ask if there was any issue with the shoulder bolsters as its there where most of the problems lie for AM seats but youve answered the question.
  19. He makes his own from a pattern. He's well known in the MX5 community for his work and his low prices and is extremely honest. Shooze had money back off Ray as she was not happy with the outcome. I wont discuss how much and will let him tell you that of he wants. So Ray is pretty fair to me honest. Insidently if someone has issues with their 5th bow, Id be happy to take a look at it as I now know quite a bit about these convertables.
  20. Its mohair. Ok so its been a few months now and can say my roof is spot on. even better now that ive fixed the 5th bow motor. Shooze is correct is saying it does not sit flat against the boot, but Ray did say about that and in time would sit great after material was stretched. And indeed he was right. Did not open my roof for 4 weeks after install. Now, its great. Its alot more flexible and looks and sits better onto the framework. What i did too which you may need to consider, is whilst I was there, I changed the internal elastic bands myself. Drilled out the old pop rivets and popped the new elastics back on whilst Ray was sewing the rear window onto the roof. You need to take a battery drill and a 5mm drill bit with you, 4mm pop rivets x 8 and a pop riviter which you can buy for 6 quid in b and q. Nissan charge £ 143 plus vat to do this. Please please dont go buying any elastic from Nissan as they are 19 quid plus vat for one and you need two. Go to a sewing / materials supply store like Dunelm or any mill outlet and just buy a 1m length of black 30mm or 40mm wide elastic. It really does the same thing and cost you less than £5.00. Pop rivet them on with slight tension between the 5th and 4th bow and thats it. Took me 20 mins. Good luck all and keep us posted on this thread.

    350z wrapping

between 1k and 2.5k for someone doing it, depending on the quality of the wrap High End being 3m 1080 but others will have other opinions but its all good what ever you get. If your doing it yourself, £ 300 - 400 quid will get you enough to do a car with some over for mistakes as you go along if its your first time.
  22. ive painted mine keeping the texture as I quite like it.
