Been doing 360 miles a week for work in the zed while getting an average of 24mpg, this is across motorway, A road, B road and some town driving. So around £95 for that, plus my mileage on the weekend as well. It will be going up to 600miles a week next week, so for the job I have bought a 1.9tdi seat to motorway munch and save the zed. Officially a weekend and evening car!

They aren't your cars, I doubt any of the owners are going to cry that I don't like them. If someone said they think my car looks retarded, or @*!#, or pointless because of a mod I have made, that's up to them, I won't shed any tears. If someone adds some crazy camber like those pictured I would imagine they are used to people having a strong opinion, good or bad about it.

I should clarify as I'm not a huge modder! Lowered and spacered looks good, its the camber that gives it the retarded look. The rear wheels look like the suspension has collapsed, The black zed you put up looks amazing. Retarded:

Never really looked into stanced cars before, but upon viewing those threads I have come to the conclusion they mostly look retarded.... When done subtly it sort of works, but most there look rediculous. Maybe I just don't "get" it.

With regards to the headlamp washers, does this bumper sit in the same place as the stock one, so all that is required is a hole to be cut?

I emailed JRC earlier in Fareham about having my bumper and bonnet sprayed to remove the stone chips and he quoted £500 plus vat, so £600. That would be with blending in the wings, so any stone chips there would be repaired also. Quite steep but they were recommended on here a while back as doing a perfect job. Trying to find somewhere a little closer to Bristol though if I can.

I have an e39 Bmw 540i sport, 4.4l v8, it's also a sports exhaust from the cat back, it is world's and bounds ahead of my zed in sound terms. I wouldn't say the zed sounds anything like my v8. Not heard a rover v8 however so. I am actually finding the zed a little under whelming, I love how it looks, the handling is sharp enough, steering is great, but I find it lacks a bit of punch and doesn't sound that amazing unless you are on wot. I know an exhaust will sort the sound part, so it would just be the power to sort after, but that's big money to go FI. Hmm I don't know, I'm pondering at the moment with what to do.

Cars 1993 Rover Metro 1.1s - I know epic first car....was a pile of horse @*!# but I loved it 1995 Bmw 325 coupe 2000 Ford Mondeo 2l 1998 Mitsubishi Galant 2.5l v6 2000 Lexus is200 2000 Bmw 540i sport 2007 Nissan 350z Bikes 2001 Honda cbr600f sport 2003 zx6r b1h 1993 cb250 2005 zx10r - sold 8 weeks ago, sort of regretting it now 1999 zx7r - owned for near 5 years and still have it Not exactly sports car history, on the whole, car wise, the nissan 350z is the fastest car I have owned, though the 540i isnt far behind. But to be honest I have long concluded that it will take a bloody fast motor to impress me being used to bikes. The zx10r is a missile and anything short of a nissan gtr will probably fail to give me the same rush.

Is there something specific about a zed that means you change your sump plug each time? I've never changed the sump plug on any of my many bikes/cars in the past? Sump plug washer gets changed each time, obviously, but unless the plug is damaged/rounded off what is the point?

Well 11 hours later, covered in sun burn and feeling totally knackard I cleaned my car today. So washed her down, then had my first go at giving a car a clay bar treatment! Suprised at the amount of crap that was stuck to the paintwork, heres one of the front wings worth: And the clay at the end At this stage the paint was looking very dull, and a lot of swirls! The fun part....first go on a machine polisher! I was suprised how user friendly the Autofinesse kit was, I didnt damage the paintwork at any stage which was something I was worried about. After machine polishing the whole car 3 times using the Autofinesse revitalise kit. I used Poorboys Black hole glaze and the topped it off with Poorboys Nattys red wax. Here are the results: Just realised I need to polish my exhaust tips! Also need to wax the wheels and clean the windows, ran out of day light today. But I'm pleased with the results considering its my first go at anything like this! Cheers for the help. Mike
