  1. Small update, no pics! heads been sent off to be skimmed and compression tested! crank also gone to be reground/polished. Happy days!

Found a place called royce transmissions who does the bearings wahoooo! only down side is one bearing is still attached and because of 1 gear i cannot see the number! royce cant get one if i dont know the number, its the one opposite to vp39-2 Japan H im thinking its a vp30-6 Japan G for obivous reasons lol but i cannot clarify! at least with the main bearing its the same one either end!

  4. dont do what i did, £5k for a high miler, 118k, clutch went on the way home. 2004.
  5. 21,7,2,35 are the ones i need, the 2 on each end of main shaft and the 2 on each end of counter/lay shaft. If anyone can get these for monday tuesday you're my hero. Thanks!
  6. Cranks off now in machinist being checked and polished along with the heads being pressure tested and skimmed. Thanks for the input! I've ordered the acl bearings.
  7. OK so local place don't do car bearings. I've got the numbers of the bearings I need need a vp39-2 Japan g and I think the other is identical but says Japan h on it and I need a 6309a5n I think the other end is identical aswel. If anyone has these in stock or where I can get to these in a store?

  12. As you probably all know lol I'm ordering my new bearings shells etc.. if i chose oem, they ask me for my bearing grades? they are odd like grade 0 grade 6 grade 9 etc... How will i know what grade to go for as of now i just opted for ACL race bearings which are a one size fits all kind of option, is that ok? Thanks in advance. Brad

    See i thought any kind of intake mod will make an increase on fuel as more air is being let in no? i've had all sorts in the past and they all seem to do the same thing!
  14. I've found some local bearing manufacturers/dealers local to me, that deal in NSK bearings, i think i'll pop down there on saturday with the bearings in hand. Cheers.
  15. Unfortunately mines already mid built, and the guy is not charging much at all! even with parts mines going to come to less than 4-500.

  17. around 3k i hope with labour. but i'm having the gearbox done too! parts shipped from US are £1300 odd + import. delivered. plus labour and other parts like heads skimmed, crank reground etc..

  19. I've just spoke to the builder to he's gonna get them off for me on sat so i can get part numbers etc.. the only one i could see a part number on was the rear main bearing which was vp39-2 Japan g and the other i couldnt see the number but it had japan h
