  1. Rotten luck pal, worth claiming on the insurance?
  2. Always got on well with Fuchs with previous cars, swapping from Motul 8100 to Fuchs Titan next month.
  3. Fastlaps has these clocked at 5.4sec to 62mph, 13.5sec 1/4 mile and 1:09sec round Tsukuba - even a DE roadster laps quicker.
  4. Can't really gauge the size of those things until placed next the Brembo, which are mad to look like twin piston rears in comparison!!!! Do these mean you'll need to move away from 18's now?
  5. Nice upgrade, still looks just the ticket.
  6. Sadly not, nice one for the link. It's a daily so dipping my toe in is my limit I soon realised it's not the car holding me back, I was holding the car back from going quicker.
  7. Couldn't agree more fella, I don't track the car as in 'track days' more track sessions ie 20 or 30mins which is plenty at a time for me. Knowing I have oe spec pads made me very aware that 7/10 was plenty while on track. Sub £100, what would you recommend for fast road and a few sessions on track?
  8. Standard Ferodo street pads front and rear.
  9. The feeling I had was pedal pulsing, due to pad transfer on the face of the discs. This then leave 3 options; replace, skim or use controlled heat to sheer off. I needed to do it as the pads are getting low, I didn't want to throw in new pads and have them tackle an extra job. Process was 50mph to 30mph lightly X5, 70mph to 40mph medium firm x5, 80mph to 40mph hard x5. Steady drive home for 15mins, when coming to a stand still I was sure not to hold the foot brake. From what I gather a heat cycle is recommended prior to heavy use, as it leave a nice friction surface for the pads.
  10. What's better than pictures for a big reveal? a local car meet roll up
  11. Interesting those magnets for the oil filter, never quite know if they've worked or not. With a conventional filter, removal of the filter might be tough with the brace still attached.
  12. For ages since taking my car out on track at Silverstone, I've had a fairly noticeable brake judder. I knew it wasn't warp discs or down to poor fitment, as i knew the moment it happen and seemed as a result of not warming the brakes up before punishment. Whilst the car is filthy and in need of a wash, on the way home from work this morning I went through a pad bedding in process. Damn it worked, no more judder and the discs are in much better condition to take another set of pads ready for Castle Combe. #bluemuch
  13. What's that red device fitted near the strut brace?..... Fuel magnets?
  14. This is what I swapped out my hoses for, absolutely solid in feel 4.5mm walled. https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Hose-Universal-Straight-Black-Coolant-Air-Hose-1m-Length/351630359705
  15. Will be wonderful Valy!!! You sticking with the UK rear bumper? I prefer the UK rear end, balances the car up visually imo. Can't wait for the next lot of pictures
  16. Cheers pal, thank you - yeah this is building very nicely, let's keep it going!!! and make it a quarterly gig.

  18. I saw what you did there....
  19. When looking to buy an exhaust, an of the shelf header I'd recommend all day long compared to a custom made one. The header is very important and tough part to get right when looking to upgrade, length of runners, distance to step, full merge, firing order to consider. As for the cat back, a custom exhaust builder can just copy the design of a Nismo, ark or whatever you want, it's just piping, silencers and flanges.
  20. Yeah happy I have one now as the Zed is a second car, so makes sense. Bought from eBay and i wouldn't be without it, gives just that touch more leverage and makes shifting a breeze. Had one fitted to the Zed for years now and with my last car, no issues. The one in the OP was an old 4" one, I've gone down to a 3" now. Plus it looks cool
  21. I like how currently a failed tpms valve can fail you on the MOT, huff.
  22. I'm not sure, I've read that flywheels can be incorrectly aligned/fitted which can cause issues. Someone will be along shortly with help and advise
  23. Eye witness: Officer i saw everything, they were driving along allowing for the conditions then just came of the road but I'm not sure why.... Officer: See lad the car had tyres at 3mm, poor folks didn't stand a chance. Only a matter of time before this would of happen.
  24. Love your track videos, good safe driving too unlike me at times..
