1. I believe for the auto its a better fit than cutting the stock ones down , dunno for the manual If by better fit you mean "doesn't just fall out because it's not retained" then yes, you need the part. That's what happened when the cutting option was tried. Machining isn't the same as cutting the standard shafts can be machined as per Abbeys info

3.
The op's question was will they pass, not will they keep anyone up at night. My berks passed as do quite a few
As i said a decat will not allow a pass if the mot is done correctly, that is not the same as saying one will not be able to get an mot with a decat fitted .
4. No , they will not meet the emissions required for the mot , if it is done correctly, its pretty clear, some hfc struggle unless they are really hot
5. Fitting decats wouldn't keep me up at night, put it that way;)
6. Just pull and dispose of the sd card if you have an accident and have been doing something naughty
7. I believe it is an offence under Construction and Use to modify a car in a manner that emissions would be increase thats in addition to the MOT regs , some pre 1995 vehicles have exemption under the mot on emission but it depends on the tester

Just as likely a mistype on the mot and the mileage should have been 64684, this happens ALL THE TIME . Can you do a previous mot check ?
10. My wife drove into a building back in 2014* in my daily driver causing £2300's worth of damage to my car , unfortunately it was my car and my insurance *The do have a tendency to creep up on you
11. I've just taken a policy with you , I was not asked about dashcams at all , hence I didnt mention it but I have a Blackvue in my 370
12. Adding my wife drops my premium by £35-£50 , they clearly haven't been in the car with her ! She has driven my 370 once in two years

15. I'm aware of the rules , thats why they are sat in the garage collecting dust , I expect I will need to cut them up at some point and dispose of them
16. Depends on if there are bearings on the shafts or not , you normally press the new bearing on , you shouldnt really reuse the old ones
17. Out of interest how does the car detect low oil temperature ? Playing around with logging software I cant find a pressure sensor on the engine
18. Could be exhaust its hard to tell like this but as 1.49 and 1.50 it doesnt sound like exhaust to me
19. I have a few in the garage , not easy to sell nowadays as they arent the multicoloured one , got a full auto mp5 which is fun
20. I personally prefer a specialist to do stuff like this, most Nissan dealers wouldnt have a clue , you could get the p2 done at the ssme time which would make sense. I wouldnt leave it myself
21. Its too early to panic mate I would suggest getting the oil pressure checked when hot first , a decent place should charge no more than 1 hours labour , once you have that data you can work out your next step As I said earlier its really hard to diagnose a fault like this online but bearing in mind the oil gallery gasket issue it could well be increased valve train noise due to reduced oil pressure at idle , but its just a thought The 350HR guys might be able to give you an idea of what they paid as a ballpark
22. Its not as easy as just multiplying the capacity up if only it were
23. the 370Z comes with the updated oil gallery gaskets http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/99607-zed-owners-must-read-p0011-p0021-caused-by-oil-gallery-gaskets/ So this thread is not accurate then ?
