  1. Hhmm. Could this be a sign the Cats are on their way out I wonder?! Or again could it just be they needed warming up more before the test?! Did you take it for a long drive before the test or was it tested after just sitting there cold for awhile?
  2. Mine are getting slightly weaker in their old age now. Hopefully they'll last.
  3. ^^ Cool. Hope the surgery goes ok btw.
  4. Annoying I'd bet. What's the set up though? standard or running HFC's/De-cats? Could have been they just needed warming up more first if the latter.
  5. Good idea grungy. Seriously though that is a great idea. Now's the time for any spraying or replacing of major parts or fitting a plenum spacer. (see post n#19 for why I'm calling you grungy. )
  6. growler is a great name !! I could say to the girl ive shown you my growler,,,, your turn easy as tht Will have to try that one.... got a nice big red growler on the front of mine Sent from the golf club... You should get that looked at. Could be thrush or something.
  7. Welcome aboard Michael. Show off some pictures when you get the roadster if you can ~ always look best with the top down btw.
  8. I like the 370's anyway but that one does look good ~ still I prefer the Le Mans blue though.
  9. From what I could find it scores very well in crash tests. NCAP 5 Star crash tests scored it 5 stars from what I can find; http://www.carcomplaints.com/Nissan/350Z/2003/safety/
  10. Glad you're happy bud. I know I really like mine and it's good to know you're pleased as well. If you can find a nice tunnel to drive through or a heavily built up area that's when the exhaust set up sounds best as you can really hear the sound in the car bouncing off the buildings/tunnel walls.
  11. If your going to try and launch the Zed at least do it properly and take the traction control off. The only driver assist you need is your brain controlling your foot on the throttle. You are spot on though otherwise ~ all depends on the conditions and road surface.
  12. So, what music do you play ? Kinda hard to put it into a category, if I had to pick one I'd say rock music. Feel free to check us out, music is on the "bandpage" bit https://www.facebook...122829691064495 Any groupies then?
  13. Holy cr*p. Glad I've got the 2003 model as that means I must be safe then.
  14. Hover over my user name with your cursor and you can send me a PM (private message) and I'll send you the ones I have for free. Can't guarantee they will fit but it's worth a try if you want to keep that gear knob and they are no use to me. Hope that helps.
  15. That's brilliant. Ha Ha. Sorry just laughing because his user names actually grundy225. He'd laugh at that too I'm sure. A black plenum could look good but might be a little dark in the engine bay especially next to the standard black cover. Still no reason not to do it if that's what you want and you could always re-paint it. I don't know a lot about de-cats either apart from the fact that they will throw up the EML (engine management light) once fitted. If you get an UpRev though they can sort that out for you then and I believe some people use 02 spacers also with de-cats to help prevent this. Unless there is a makers name on the de-cats it could be hard to tell what make they are unless they are really recognizable for some reason. Some decat pipes listed here; http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/products.aspx?CategoryId=6c57854b-9046-445b-819f-94422f204a2b
  16. I have the exact same as you, it's fine, just make sure you tighten the grub screw. Is there supposed to be something between the metal stick thing underneath and the screws? Even having been so tight it's dented the metal, it's still pretty loose for my driving... Some or most of these aftermarket gear knobs usually have little rubber cups that fit inside the gear knob itself (to suit different size metal shafts). Maybe yours is not the right size or missing altogether hence why it still wobbles even after you've tightened it. Similar to the three rubber boots pictured with this gear knob. Think I've got some in the garage from an old gear knob kit if you want them? Just send me a PM with your address and I'll post them to you gratis. Otherwise it might be that you need longer grub screws to get a good purchase on the gear stick shaft.
  17. The rear looks awesome, just not a fan of the front. Most people probably only get to see the rear anyway. If it was anyone on here that saw the rear, I'd expect an appropriate forum topic to be posted 'Enzo really surprised me'. Followed by; "I almost had him bro"
  18. I've just got the standard one in mine which is great imo. Sometimes they pop up for sale in the 350Z parts for sale section. Otherwise there are a few good ideas for replacements in this thread; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/81510-gearknob-options/page__hl__+gear%20+knob#entry1215018

  20. Think that's because I believe the website that's from is an American one. Wrecked Exotics; http://www.wreckedexotics.com/ Sad to see any car like that especially as no doubt that some of the drivers didn't walk away.
  21. You could do either or maybe have it polished. Wasso a reputable member on here does a great service here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/57507-plenum-polishing-service-with-finished-pics/ He also does his own plenum spacers; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71728-fsbatch-3-custom-anodised-plenum-spacers-170/ I haven't used his services yet but a lot of members have and recommend him. If you do go for the Invidia system I'd try a trader on here called Chris from Tarmac Sportz ~ did me a great price for mine when I bought it together with the Berks HFC's and sometimes there are group buys running which can save you even more cash. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68011-invidia-exhausts-and-berk-hfc-combo-package-deals/
  22. ^^ I'm loving the Enzo tbh mouthwash. Very cool.
  23. You can change the rocker covers/gaskets yourself if you feel up to the task. I've never done it myself but shouldn't be too difficult as Alex mentions in the quote below. First you will need the below items; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/80779-rocker-cover-gaskets-for-oil-leaks-vq35de/page__hl__rocker http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/80780-new-nissan-cam-cover-assembly-vq35de/page__hl__rocker The link below should help you out but if you still need help I'd try a PM to Zmanalex as he's a fountain of knowledge. Page 41 onwards should help; http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/350Z/coupe/2004.5/em.pdf Hope that helps some.
