We await the Laird's appearance with baited breath
I will personally serve square sausage at breakfast to all Scottish members who attend. Can't say fairer than that eh?
I'll bloody well help you
Most units have five plugs, one for the power and earth and four for the sensors, a process of elimination will identify your faulty one, turn ignition on put car in reverse to produce noise and remove sensor plugs one at a time until noise stops.
Sounds like a bodge installation job. If cables are melted to the zorst that's where your problem lies I'm afraid you're going to have to jack it or reverse up onto a couple of planks or wood which might give you enough room to slide under. Good luck
The control unit is probably under the false floor in the boot, try and identify the manufacturer and see if you can get spare sensor cables
