  1. Woah, great responses from people. Seen a fair few of these are a lot are right up my street, all the Coen Brothers stuff, Dead Mans Shoes is a right shout too and is one of my all time favourites. Found it more disturbing than pretty much any "horror" film I've ever seen. One absolutely epic and truly inspiring films is Chasing Mavericks. True story about a young surfer training to conquer one of the words biggest waves in California. Even if you're not into surfing it's well worth a watch. Anyway, for tonight I'm going to try one suggested by marzman, Warrior, although there's plenty here to check out. Sure it'll beat X Factor!
  2. Just wondered if anyone out there has any films they recommend for a Saturday night? We all know the classics such as the Godfather Trilogy, Goodfellas, The Departed etc but there are a few more understated titles that I believe are up there with these. Just wondered if anyone has any good suggestions to try? I'll start with a few of my favorites: In the Name of the Father - Daniel Day Lewis in a true story about the Guildford bombings and the false prosecution of some friends from Belfast during the troubles. 71 - Again, one set in N Ireland about a soldier left behind by his comrades... Gritty as hell. Lost in Translation - Bill Murray plays a washed out actor on an advertising job in Tokyo and forms a friendship with Scarlette Johansen. Directed by Coppola's daughter. The Drop - Tom Hardy plays a bartender in a twisting tale about a drop point for dirty money and a few wrong doings. Really great and edgy film. So any suggestions?
  3. What's going on with that mini in the background?
  4. Why don't you just wrap it in bubble wrap, some old cardboard boxes and duct tape, then get the buyer to arrange a courier? Would probably fly out then...
  5. Great news. Looking forward to this arriving and installing along with my new plenum spacer.
  6. Aye come on flyboy, you asked for 15 and we delivered
  7. Spacers arrived next day after shipping. Look very good quality and at that price I'm not sure why anyone would buy any other brand.
  8. Press the button and find out Wheeeeeee! Pressed the button to the right of my steering wheel and all that happened was my petrol cap popped out?
  9. Check out TORQENs traders page, the S Spacers should be arriving next week at a proper bargain price on pre-orders.
  10. Not sure you'll be able to chuck the Zed into B road corners with the vigour you may in the Focus. Just be wary of the practicality of going down to 2 seats and a boot that's only really good for the shopping.
  11. These and all the old XFM shows kept me going at work for a long while. 'Rockbusters' is probably the greatest game ever.
  12. Probably wasn't even road legal to be honest Things seem to be a bit more relaxed up this way. Saw a tractor knocking about up the M6 once.
  13. I've got the GT pack with Rays. Was tempted to go for something a little different, Meister's or Varrstoen ES6, but to be fair, I can't really fault the Rays as they do look bloody good and are super light. Have to take the time maintaining them as the bubbling is notorious. Got some 25/20mm spacers on the way from Torqen once out of manufacture, just to fill them out a bit to the arches, which I think is the only thing they're lacking.
  14. 7 hour journey in a Zed usually takes about 5 hrs...
  15. I'm sure AF have many happy customers and it is true that people normally only write the bad in companies online, although you do tend to read a lot more about them than the others. Haven't seen forum pages full of topics like "Direct Line - Bunch of Thieving B@*tards!" like you do with AF. If you're under 25 it sometimes helps putting parents as named drivers.
  16. Just done a quote on Confused. I'm 27 with 4yrs NCB living in the Lake District. £285 with exhaust and panel air filter declared from Admiral Will still phone around a few of the performance brokers but well chuffed with that. I'd have to pay an extra £130 if I wanted the privilege of a black box too. Very strange.
  17. This is George, aka Oi! or El B*stardo. Almost 2 years old now and still an absolute terrorist. He's technically my girlfriends so I can't get rid of him.
  18. Oh really? Is that just a standard thing then? Was going to try them this year but I'm not 28 until February, oh well.
  19. It's like you're asking me to buy you poison, I won't do it! Seriously, it's a huge waste of money, sell your 350z + £8k you're getting a nice 370z which has already the power you're trying to achieve NA. Or short block + TT on your engine. If you ever come to sell your 350z, not many people would want to buy that engine... Take 1-2 more weeks to think this through before you start spending This, 370. And coming from the guy who would be set to make a few quid from you tells you something? Good luck with whatever you choose though and I'll be subscribing to the build thread if you do go the NA 350 route
  20. Some very good advice in that. Often find there's a bit of a negative stigma with regards to credit cards, but when used properly, I've never had any sort of problems and don't pay interest. Use them whilst online shopping too. If you do get frauded, at least it isn't your current account getting emptied and your mortgage bouncing!
  21. Digressing a bit, but what happens if you take your car and black box onto a track?
  22. Gave this piece of advice on another thread, but after reading a few more topics, I thought it may be of use to a few people. Not sure who else is doing this but it's just something I've been doing over the past few years to spread the cost of my insurance over the year without being ripped off... When you opt to pay your insurance monthly, they will take your annual fee and add ~17%APR onto this, which can hike the price a fair bit if you're young or live somewhere like London, where your premium will already be quite pricey. I take out a credit card with a minimum of 12 months 0% interest on purchases: http://www.money.co.uk/credit-cards/0-purchases-credit-cards.htm Pay your insurance in one go on the card, avoiding the monthly APR. Set up a direct debit with your bank for the premium divided by 12 to avoid any late payments etc. If you don't like credit cards or think you'll be tempted by all the free money, chop the card up and forget about it. Enjoy avoiding being ripped off! *Always remember to research the card, some may have monthly fees etc. I have a card on the way with 23 months 0% that charges £2 per month after the first year. Although I'll be getting 1% cashback on my shopping and 3% on petrol, so will work out fine. I'm always very sensible with them though and pay back everything each month. Hope this helps a few people!
  23. Always been a bit weary of AF. The numerous car forums I've been on are just full of their horror stories with people ending up greatly out of pocket from them. A quick Google search will throw up hundreds of similar stories. I've been with Admiral for about 4-5 years now as they continuously end up being the cheapest on the comparison sites. Mine is due next month though and I have a few mods planned, so will definitely try Sky and Chris Knott in the next few weeks.
