  1. This looks fantastic! I have an identical one from EVO-R. Just wondered though, have you had any issues with this catching on the closed bonnet? I ran mine for a couple of weeks and next time I saw it the bonnet had rubbed against it
  2. I have a pair of these myself, but just saw these on fleabay for £350! Thought I'd share as they probably won't be around for long. http://www.ebay.co.u...=item235507422f Edit: Woah wrong topic, my bad. How do I move it?
  3. Been running a set of Goodyear Eagle F1's for a while now on stock 18 inch wheels. Fantastic improvement over the Bridgestones, much grippier and less 'roar' from the road. Seem to be wearing pretty slowly too! Got the set from Just Tyres fitted for about £700
  4. Hi Chris, do you still have these badges in stock? I notice they've gone from the web store.
  5. Ebay's where I got mine. Decent quality carbon fibre. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1X-Left-Side-Carbon-Fiber-Air-Vent-Intake-Duct-Fit-03-04-05-06-Nissan-350Z-ND-/381291895565?fits=Model%3A350Z&hash=item58c6c49b0d&vxp=mtr They're a bit pricey at the moment but got mine a few months back for about £30
  6. Really like those wheels! What type are they?
  7. I had the same issue with my Zed (03 JDM). The clutch was slipping over time and then totally went with no bite at all at about 50k miles. From what I found out when I asked on here about it the stock clutches have been known to die as soon as 25,000 miles. The other problem is the stock clutch assembly has a dual-mass flywheel, which in short is more expensive to replace and not as good as a single mass. Bottom line, I'd get both changed before you end up out in the sticks needing recovery. I went to Clark Motorsport (trader on here) and they sorted me right out. I went for a Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel teamed with their Stage 2 racing clutch. Much racier feel than the stock, just a bit noisy at really low revs. From what I've heard on here Exedy make a clutch which has the closest feel to the stock one. Best of luck.
  8. Fantastic first purchase! Snapped up a pair of Berk HFCs for £370, can't argue with that! Adrian was great to buy from, he kept me up to speed on the order and tracking and they arrived very swiftly indeed! I'll certainly be back for more
  9. Yea I kind of do as well to be honest, makes it look nice and sleek but I'm just wondering if it'll look unbalanced with a front splitter and no rear wing
  10. Hi all, had my Zed for a year or so now and been on the forum for just as long, so I thought it was high time I got my act together and conributed! Picked her up completely stock (apart from the painted wheels) with 43k on the clock. Today was first time I've seen the sun this year (I work in Scotland) so out came the cleaning kit! Before: Quick rinse to start: And a couple of hours of elbow grease later: Since I got her I've changed the odd thing here and there. -The inevitable slipping clutch happened about 15k miles after I got her so that went and I replaced it with a Competition Clutch stage 2 with their lightweight flywheel (big thanks to Clark Motorsport for sorting me out ) It's totally transformed the way the car drives -Stubby antenna from Tarmac Sportz -Zunsport front grille (with no towing eye, that was helpful when the clutch died half way along the A66 *facepalm* ) -Intake is stock just have a K&N panel filter in there -Removed the front number plate mount and went for a mini one as I don't like front plates at all but the Police don't tend to see it from an asthetic point of view. Just slap a full size on once a year for the MOT -Ditched the Bridgestones for a set of Eagle F1s, thoroughly recommend them, they feel fantastic at all speeds in wet and dry. I've always liked white letter tyres being a big fan of US muscle cars, so gave mine a go. I know they are a bit of a 'marmite mod' for a lot of people (and they fade after a few months as you can see above) but when fresh I think they look great: -And of course a good old couple of 350ZUK stickers in the rear windows That's her as she stands for now. Up coming mods include: -Invidia Gemini exhaust (on it's way thanks to Tarmac Sportz) -A plenum spacer from Wasso -Berk HFCs at some point -Uprev to follow all these of course -Maybe some 19" Rota Grid wheels -Nismo front splitter (also from Tarmac Sportz, waiting to have fitted but I'm getting my bumper resprayed as being a 12 year old car she's circumbed to Nissan's crap laquer and many stone chips [Pic below] Orange reflectors will be changing to plain silver too) -Some form of spoiler (I'm yet to decide) One or two bits of housekeeping to do as well: -Front bumper respray: -Fix a slight paint bubble on the rear right wing: The ding to the right of the bubbling is thanks to a dozy cow at the petrol station who didn't replaced the nozzle properly. Half way through a fill up I could only watch in horror as in slow motion it slipped off the pump and clouted the wing cheers... Engine bay shot (EVO-R engine cover from Redline): That's all for now! sorry for the long post, here's a potato
  11. Cheers guys, I'll suggest to him that he gets it up on a ramp and takes a closer took
  12. Yea that's the first thing I did, only difference is the intake, no plenum spacer or anything else visible.
  13. Hi all, I've been on the forum a while now but I'm posting on behalf of a friend/work collegue, (have tried to sign him up be no go so far  ) He's recently bought a lovely UK spec '04 roadster in sunset orange on my recommendation (he just wanted a soft top rocket so naturally I got him on board the Zed train). We met up a couple of days after he got it to compare and I got him to pop open the bonnet. Now according to the bloke who sold it to him (dealership) it was a totally standard and unmodified example, however on peeking under the hood I immediately spied what appears to be a K&N induction kit. What's more it sounds much beefier and louder than mine (fair enough mine's JDM with a stock exhaust) and appears to have a stock exhaust also. So... my question is has anyone here owned this car previously and if so do they know what mods it's had done to it? It had a private plate when he bought it: R22 LCC. Sorry for the long post, here's a potato:
  14. Help! Just installed the bonnet struts and they are so stiff my lid won't even close. Just hangs open. Anyone else had this or know how to fix it?
  15. Yes it is. Mine went at about 56,000 miles, but I've heard of some people's going as early as 26,000. It just kept slipping more and more until it wrapped completely. Clark squared me away with a CC clutch and lightweight flywheel. Been fantastic ever since
  16. No I'm near the Minster but mine's silver too
  17. Ok will do cheers I'm in York
  18. Update: found this on YouTube. Guy has the same problem as me: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3N_PoT3R9Q This is exactly what mine's doing and he reckons it's the NATS antenna (not come across this before). Is it a particularly tricky/expensive thing to get to and replace?
  19. I guess I'll hope it's th battery then haha. Cheers
  20. Hi all, had the Zed on a nice long run up the M6 the other week and as always she was smooth as ever. Stopped just before my house to fill up and when I went to set off she wouldn't start. It sounded like she was turning over but just not starting up, never missed a beat before. Tried a couple more times and she started fine and I've driven her since with no dramas, until this morning when the same thing happened again. Took 3-4 attempts to get her to start up. Has anyone got any idea what's up? Thanks in advance, Tom
  21. Had the inevitable slipping clutch on the Zed, took it to my local guy who quoted me nigh on £5000 (before labor) to replace the clutch and flywheel! So I took to the forum and within the hour I had a reply from Ewen at Clark Motorsport, who immediately recommended me a selection of suitable parts from which to chose, and I did so at less than a fifth of the cost originally offered to me. Needless to say I'll be back for more! Thanks again. **UPDATE** Parts arrived very quickly (and with a bag of Haribo!), had them fitted no problem and she's driving better than ever thanks to Ewan's recommendations
