  1. I had no other mods to mine apart from cosworth filters. HR engine and it made a nice difference to overall driveability. I would definitely recommend it even on a standard car
  2. Welcome to the forum! An uprev remap will improve 1st and 2nd gear as I'm sure in OEM settings these are slightly restricted. I've had the uprev remap on mine, it has transformed the throttle response
  3. Attending a wedding last week in the old girl. Still looks good parked up next to more expensive metal.
  4. Grey 350 heading into Woburn sands about 8pm last night. I wasn't in my 350 unfortunately
  5. Are there any dual mass flywheels available for the hr that aren't genuine Nissan? Cheers Ross
  6. Grey 370z this morning about 8am driving through westoning with what looked like an ARK exhaust. Looked clean!
  7. Fresh wheel refurb and clean. Now retired from daily duties. Now used as my weekend fun
  8. Welcome back mate. Have you still got the gtr?
  9. Good evening, if anyone has a good condition Nissan tailored cover for the 350 that they are looking to sell I'm ready to buy.
  10. If your oil pressure is fine. I would just go for an uprev map. It transforms the drive of the car. Engine will be silky smooth at all revs. Also a lot cheaper than what Nissan are quoting you for something that won't even fix it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Not all hr's are as bad as others. Sometimes the hesitation at low rpm can be exaggerated if the oil gallery gaskets have failed which is a common problem on all hr's. That would show up as about 15 psi at hot idle. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. If your car is a Hr it Will be an exhaust cam control problem that can be sorted with an uprev remap. Also what is your oil pressure on hot idle? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. A friend of mine has just told me they have seen a yellow gt4 parked up in Northill (Bedfordshire) for around two and a half years without moving. Just wondering if anyone knows the car?

  16. Sorry yet again I have to disagree with the word "stronger". As what was essentially a test bed for the 370 engine they are full of faults and design flaws. Once these have been rectified however they are the better car. Engine feels smoother for sure, it's just a shame the weight increased with the HR lump and all those "improvements "are negated to give as near as damn it the same performance as a Revup. I actually meant to put stronger engine on this one not the car 😀 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. I admit the gaskets is a downside to them but once they have been done I haven't heard of any other engine related fault. They don't burn any oil, they can cope with more power than a de. I'm not saying the de is a bad engine its just not as good as the HR variant. Performance wise, recently at snetterton 300 my uprev'd HR was bang on match for my friends e46 m3 manual on the straight which a revup de is not capable of without quite a few mods. The whole argument about de's having more torque as well is not completely true as the Hr actually makes more torque throughout a wider band of the rev range rather than just peak figures. 😃😃 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Hr is the one to get if you can find one. Stronger, sharper and revs more freely than the de. Basically closer to a 370z engine than they are a de. Also buying a slightly higher mileage car that has got the correct service history over a low mileage one that has done slow short runs all its life with minimal servicing would be the way to go. 23. The pads and discs are ok but the calipers dont seem to cope with the heat well the paint changes colour to almost a brown Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. I find the front standard 350 brembo's are not really up to hard track use, even with good pads , discs and fluid. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
