  1. I'm yet to properly test it out with the radioapp cable I haven't yet fitted. But it charges and mirrors the screen onto my pioneer headunit fine with the av cable plugged into it. It also charges 5Cs which cheap cables do not seem to. It will be in by the weekend so will update it then with pictures.
  2. For iPhone users. I bought one of these. eBay item 121264448271. Took the ashtray out and drilled a hole in the back to fit lightening cable through. So phone can be plugged in easy to the headunit. Doesn't get in the way either as it's not high enough. Does wobble about though so I might change it to one of these to give it more support. 281097682662
  3. I'll take the last one then if it's going to be a big wait. Let me know when you need payment.
  4. Nope, the black bit the boot side? Pm me your email and I'll send you a picture.
  5. Nope, the black bit the boot side? Pm me your email and I'll send you a picture.
  6. How much for the plastic that goes around the rear strut brace. Just the bit the boot side? Collected as I have a mate who lives in Bournemouth that can look after it.
  7. Right I realised that the HD is for when you connect to a phone so definatly needed ha. Also I cannot find the 5600 for the price I found yesterday so just oredered the 8500. I hope I'm not dissapointed. Amazon doing it for £404.99 atm from car audio security. Santa better hurry up... Now onto cables!!! BBK fancy helping me out? what phone is connected to yours atm?
  8. If I'm not adding screens to it HDMI isn't really important is it? Yeah saw your link mate thanks, but you can get the 5600 for £320 I saw so saving nearly £100?
  9. Sorry yeah I missed out the 'x' on the pioneer models I mentioned. Thanks guys but such split decisions haven't really helped ha. I had a single din alpine in my last car, bought it brand new in 2007 and still works well and really easy to use, but probably because I've had it so long so I know where everything is. Good news about the camera for the Pioneer! I'm sure all the models across the range connect them in the same way then. The picture of the alpine camera has a big box with weird wires so I'm guessing you can't use any old camera with RCAs. From experience you tend to need a big box for everything with alpine you add on. Or you did on my old head unit. So now onto my next question what's the difference between the 8500 or the 5600? I compared them online but the more expensive 8500 doesn't seem worth the extra money unless I'm missing something?
  10. Hey guys I'm loooking to buy a double din headunit and the thing that I cant seem to find information on is the reversing camera. I'm looking at either the Pioneer AVH8500BT, AVH5600BT or Alpine IVE W535BT; or IVE W530BT so if any of you can help me pick one that would be brilliant. Also what might make me pick is whether the £15 reversing camera on ebay can be plugged into either of the units? As I really want one but dont fancy paying the £150 prcie tag both ask for from their websites. They dont seem to tell you what connections they use on the back. Thanks guys Paul
  11. Hey mate, can I ask you where you got that headunit for £390 please? Also how easy is it to attach a rear view camera? Like what are the connectins for it, you dont need to buy their £150 camera do you?
  12. My car came with a kenwood head unit which is rubbish, can't wait to change it for an alpine or pioneer unit.
  13. Well done I did the London North this year. I agree, it didn't seem that hard and was a good laugh. We had horrible weather though which made it worse. Literally rained and had hailstones the whole way round. The electrocution one where you crawled through water I found the worse.
  14. Mines waiting at the post office can't collect till Wednesday at the earliest. Watch it be a lovely weekend now.
  15. Thanks. Just ordered a set of 4.
  16. Hey Does anybody know which battery is used for the key fob. I could easily look when I get home but I'm stuck at work and fancy ordering them now. It's a 04 uk spec and so far I've found its either CR2025 Or CR2016 Thanks Paul
  17. Yes please mate. Email me with payment details. Set in black please
  18. I would also love to take you up on this offer mate? Probably next month though if that's cool. Does it need to be nice weather to do it? Next months weather could be poo!
  19. Placed my first order. Looking forward to the end of the month.
  20. Something little but have you got the spring off the boot that you do the penny trick with? one of the tabs are broken on mine and it wobbles.
