  1. Sounds good but such selfish behaviour / driving.
  2. South East London here near Greenwich.
  3. Indeed. And if you look at the stats of number of people saved by a seatbelt it would make the exception to the rule. I personally just don't feel safe without a seatbelt on.
  4. I'm sorry you had a bad time with Tradelink, I go on very well with Greg and had exemplary service from him. Sounds like you were unlucky with the guy. Good luck with your continued 350Z hunt!
  5. I'm torn. I've read through the policies, done lots of the online "who do you side with" type of quizzes, and the things that are important to me are split between, Con, Lab and Lib Dem - so I'm at a loss.
  6. Very lucky to get out of that unscathed. Hope he calms down when he buys his next car.
  7. hahaha! Bloody phone - I have reported the duplicate posts, sorry chaps!
  8. Mark maybe I got that wrong. One of the guys (he doesn't work there) said that to me. But that's perhaps because his car didn't make his torque values?
  9. Coming uphill. Flashed at you.
  10. Quite happy with my dyno result - all the work that has been put in on the car is now that car that it SHOULD have been from the factory. It's a 10 year old DE so I can't complain. A guy at Powerstation said that their torque figures may be a little low - but the power figures are pretty accurate. Certainly the car drives like it has some decent power - I gave some guys a run in it that had been in it before (stock) to now and they said it was clearly more potent and more urgent - I think the light flywheel certainly help with the urgency factor. Model: 2006 (55) DE Mods: Wasso plenum, HKS panel filter, Velocity Stack mod, Japspeed Decats, Milltek Exhaust, UpRev, Xtreme Organic clutch + SMF Dyno: Powerstation Tewskbury BHP: 300.3 @ Fly Torque: 286 ftlb
  11. You need to give the car a bit of a trash before running it for emissions. Which is why I thought sod it, just go for decats and be a little bit dodgy
  12. I went for some 350z EBC Front Turbo Groove Brake Discs with yellow stuff pads - work brilliantly. Braided lines can also help with the pedal feel.
  13. I run decats, but as Bradders says you need to know the right people. Or you could just put the cats back on for the MOT and take 'em off again...
  14. Technically, using multiple lanes, with decent spacing, and a sensible average speed, the queue will clear quicker. Problem is, people bunch up, don't let people in and have egos that get in the way. The issue is people not following a good process flow, and this sporadic behaviour causes bunching, which in turn causes queues, which then leads to people wanting to skip the queues, and then leads to wanna be cops/holier than thou drivers to take matters in their own hands. Both are poor decisions. I'm fairly certain had the merc driver driven a little slower, and indicating to move in, the renault driver may have reacted differently. The 1 in 1 along is far more sensible - but it only works if people do it right. Try to do a zip up too quickly, it bunches/fails. When/if cars become automated, they will all drive without egos, and follow a suitable process that will enable larger traffic flow.
  15. He serviced my wife's Toyota Corolla and as usual did a perfect job. I think I've been there half a dozen times, and will continue to go back there for the foreseeable future. Love his work style, his attention to detail, and the fact he's just a great guy too!
  16. Fitted lots of new goodies to the Zed. Still bedding in the LSD, but the car feels great now! Such high quality work, and sorted out some of my minor niggles as part of the job. Proactive and a great guy too.
  17. Just by looking at how it works, if people leave enough of a gap and let people in it does speed it up, it's physics. In fact here you go http://www.smartmotorist.com/traffic-and-safety-guideline/traffic-jams.html Half way down.
  18. Not much - my new diff is making much more noise though as it is still bedding in so it's probably not hearing as much as I thought I would. My old clutch was on the way out, so it was already a little noisy. I don't find it intrusive.
  19. Fluid dynamics shows and proves that zip merging is far more efficient. Problem is people don't do it properly so you end up with just as bad a situation as queuing in 1 lane for miles.
  20. Mine is starting bed in nicely now and it has totally transformed the car. One of the best upgrades I've done.
  21. I don't either. You never know who you night wind up. Life's too short.
