  1. Looking forward to the vids!
  2. I'm up for the brake and clutch lines for hr anyway. Maybe a separate thread would generate more interest.
  3. Wow, some scary images.
  4. Thanks. Waiting for the good weather to machine polish it, it should be perfect then .
  5. Thanks dude. No, it doesn't affect the height of the pedal. It feels more solid because it's wider and obviously its way easier to heel toe. I'd definitely recommend it, great cheap upgrade!
  6. OK thanks, I'll have a look at them too.
  7. A thread here(http://my350z.com/forum/maintenance-and-repair/508635-350z-annoying-rear-rattle-noise-fix-2.html) suggests it may be the rear shock top mount bushing. Anyone on here have any experience with this?
  8. Hi Guys, I have a metallic high pitched rattling sort of sound coming from the inside rear area and another from the middle dash area. The sound is only there when driving over relatively uneven country roads.I've taken apart most of the rear of the car and have still not found the culprit. I'm not sure where to start with the dash rattle. Anyone have any ideas where I should be looking? or how to diagnose it.
  9. Main post updated with Nismo Titanium gear knob and 380RS accelerator pedal.
  10. I think you guys should do a group buy on the Hose Techniks .
  11. It's probably plastidipped. It's a popular mod.
  12. To minimize swirls when washing- - Use the two bucket method with grit guards. - Use a separate bucket and mitt for washing the wheels. - Use a high quality lambswool wash mitt not a sponge. - Use microfiber cloths/towels for drying and use a quick detailer as a drying aid to lube the surface. - If you come across a missed dirty piece while drying then put your current microfiber in the wash a use a fresh one. If you want to go to more extreme levels then use a pre-wash or snow foam before beginning the standard wash. Have a look at this video:
  13. Dual action polishers are pretty safe, you should be fine. You wouldn't want to be machine polishing the car often though maybe once every 8-12 months depending on the condition of the paint. I still think applying wax by hand is the best but for sure DA is the way to go for polishing. Have a read of this first: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=63859 If I were you, I'd spend the little extra and get a DAS6 Pro(They're tried and tested): http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polishing-machines/das-6-pro-dual-action-polisher/cat_81.html
  14. Polish with DA or Rotary and Wax by hand.
  15. Will do.. You just reminded me I need to find that reasonably priced Video Recorder I think Sony put out recently that blows everything else away to get proper video quality and more importantly REAL sound of the low tones my Iphone cuts off completely. Hrmm.. I don't think I bookmarked it.. this is going to be hard to find again. :/ Btw,.. delZ,.. I see you had a DE and now HR -- Without offending anyone.. ( ) -- Considering the HR is 80% different in design than the DE, higher redline (500rpm to 1000rpm higher depending on which year exactly you had ) ,..higher block deck height, longer connecting Rods, Dual Intakes, Revised Cylinder Heads, Variable Valve timing that operates over a broader range, Higher compression Ratio, and Stronger Cast aluminum Engine and Oil pain (covers), More horsepower over a larger power band (increased primarily in mid range),.. and a touch more horsepower at the sacrifice of a bit of torque (That's all I know of the actually differences in engines).... What is the real world difference between driving the two? I had a GT4 which had the Rev Up engine. It unfortunately used a decent bit of oil, my HR hasn't used any so far. I was surprised at how different the HR engine was: - The throttle response is very nice, noticeably better - Generally feels smoother - The HR pulls really hard all the way to the redline, where the DE was running out of breath the HR is really laying down some serious power - Sounds better - I really liked the sound of the DE but the HR is that little bit nicer sounding. - Gearbox is smoother
  16. Looking forward to seeing some videos . Do a few drive bys if you can.
  17. Great thread. I've been watching his videos for a while and they're fantastic. I think I'll order the Skin sealant, has it been holding up well?
  18. OK great, I'll be making a big order in the next 2 months for my P3. So if they're ready in that time then awesome! Why exactly is there a difference between de and hr?
  19. I love these wheels. Is it possible to buy them new?
  20. Great video. I mastered heel-toe in my RX8 because if you weren't in the right gear you were going no where fast! It's easy to be lazy in the zed.
  21. This car is really mind blowing. It's the first car in a long time that is poster worthy.
  22. All this throwing around billions of fake money at software which has very little actual worth is going to end in disaster.
