  2. Yeah i thought the zed engine fuel consumption would be an issue due to the bad press and was actually considering a new 3series coupe because of the comparison to fuel consumption and power... but i now average 32mpg on motorways at 70+ mph, and city rural 22mpg. Which all in all isnt too bad compared to my past cars like the Mister2 and the Soarer 2.5tt..

    MOT time

Good luck im nearing that stage soon!
  4. Water and coolant levels seem to be fine. Hmmm... il try get her up to temperature later and listen for the fans. Do you think one of those low temperature thermostats would help?
  5. Pressure wash it to death if you want. The vinyl wont lift unless its not stuck down properly. I.e if its starting to peel, the hose wont help. But if its flush and stuck down, it wont lift You need to leave it outside for roughly 5days for it to set in place before power hosing. Mostly labour cost. The vinyl itself is 40 for gloss, at a guess probably 70-80 for carbon. 300 for roof is quite expensive, but again a good garage with reputation will put prices up. Most will wrap a gloss black roof for 90ish. Carbon is a bit harder to work with to not stretch. They said 240 for gloss black on roof and quoted 2hours work.I did see some samples but i dont know if it was me being a perfectionist but i noticed overlaps on the window a pillars is that normal? or is it practically impossible to wrap a full car without lines? Thanks Saskhi
  6. Thanks Ian, I just gave him a call he sounds very knowledgable and good guy to work with thanks! Plus a good oportunity to test out the Welsh A-roads incomparison to the Scottish!
  7. Usually my temp reading sits a little below the halfway line on the temp reading, but the other day i was parked with the engine idling waiting for a friend, was getting hot so rolled up the windows and turned on the A/C and maxed it out to coldest possible setting, 15mins later i noticed the temperature had climbed close to the H on the temp reading and then i quickly looked at the outside temp reading and it read 32degrees!! So in a panic i switched off the car. When my friend finally came down, i got in the car and decided to turn off aircon, turn on the heating to max and gave it a quick blast to force some air into the engine bay, a few minutes later the temperature finally went down to half way but not as low as it usually sits. That was 3days ago and the temperature has been fine ever since but is there anything i should actually check to prevent this from happening? Or does idling with aircon on have this effect? Any ideas? Eg thermostat or fan etc... Thanks Saskhi
