  1. I was on my way back from work, taking it easy until I get my geometry checked.
  2. I'm a bit long in the tooth for iridium lenses and designer sunglasses, but I have been reading up on Serengeti's and Driverwear. has anyone worn them?
  3. I have started driving early mornings and late evenings and have problems with winter sun glare, normal reactalite or transition lens glasses don't work through car window screens. What no prescription sunglasses do you wear and would you recommend them?
  4. Mine only has 53k miles on the clock, so I suppose you might notice more of a difference.
  5. I finally managed to get my car Terracleaned today at a garage called Car Make over in Wakefield Yorkshire. Mine was the first 350z he had dealt with, and he had to spend some time trying to get at the fuel hose from under the car. The actual cleaning process took about 30 mins. I was not sure what to expect, I didn't get clouds of smoke out the back, just an unusual smell from the exhaust. I was told that I should just be smelling clean air, but maybe having a sports cat changes that. Since having the process, I've noticed the car seems to rev a lot more easily, and the exhaust note seems slighty better. I haven't run any tests and I don't have a before and after emissions' print out, but the car certainly feels more responsive and livelier.
  6. I am taking my car for a Terraclean tomorrow, and the garage says they will carry out a wheel alignment if it needs doing. Is there anything specific, I should ask or need to know? Do these cars require a laser alignment, like the Hunter?
  7. I found this thread after searching for help with my 350z tram lining. I have spacers fitted and have checked the tyre pressure, I have 35 psi all round and the tyres are the same brand on all 4 corners. Do I get an alignment with the spacers on or do I have to take them off first? Is it just a standard 4 wheel alignment, or do I need a specialist garage?
  8. Thanks for the reply, but I can't open the link?
  9. Can anyone tell me where the tweeters are on the 350z? How easy are they to take out?
  10. Fluke, I did it in my driveway. You really don't get much smoke out the rear until you nail the pedal, there is smoke yes, but not terrible. Id give it some beans somewhere else though first, as I say with mine the first time I floored it I almost stalled because of the cloud coming out of the rear, I did this down my road too I am waiting for a mobile mechanic to get beck to me. I am only home at weekends so it hard trying to book somebody that will be available on Saturday or Sunday. They have, however quoted me £99 to get it done.
  11. I am in the process of trying to find a place to do it this weekend. I will report back my findings.
  12. There seems to be a lot of positive rebuts knocking about, including a 10hp gain on a 350z. http://www.terraclean.co.uk/pdfs/dynoday_dmp.pdf
  13. What about sea foam? I also saw an episode of Wheel Dealers , where Ed China used a machine that pumped chemicals into the car whilst the engine was running. I think it was called 'Fuel Induction Cleaning', and have often wondered if it was a service available to the public. Would it offer any real benefits?
  14. Thanks. That's done the trick.
  15. I have swapped the seat frames over, it wasn't a difficult job to do, but was time consuming. It took about 11/2 hours each side. I have solved the seat belt issue, but can't get my airbag light to stop flashing. I have tried soldering a resistor directly onto the loom running from the floor, but I still get the flashing light. Can anyone else offer advice?
  16. I got in the car to go get some fuel ready for work tomorrow and found out the 350z seat belt clip is too big to go in the 370z stalk. Here's a couple of pictures of how the seats look. The 370z seats are slightly wider than the 350z, there is more adjustment for height and lumbar, I will find out how they are for comfort tomorrow when I drive 120 miles.
  17. Thanks. I now have the seats installed, I just need to sort out the airbags. I know the easiest way would be to drop a resistor in, but I would prefer to have the airbags functioning.
  18. Thanks for the reply. I dont want to deploy the air bag on my old seats as they are in great condition, so I plan to sell them on.
  19. So I can use the wires either way? I thought one might be earth and the other live, hence the green and brown?
  20. I was also torn between the 350 and the S2000, but having owned a rag top for 10 years, I wanted a coupe. I was always worried about leaving my rag tops in strange places as I was always concerned about some little **** sticking a knife through it, and in winter it was bloody freezing.
  21. I've already cut the lug off the seat and am going to drill a hole to match the one in the car. I just need to find out how to connect the airbag wiring.
  22. I am in the process of installing a set of 370z seats I got from Adrian, there are a couple of differences and I am after some advice. First off the air bag wires and connectors are different as can be seen in the photos. I was just going to cut the plugs off and swap them over, but electrics isn't my strong point. The 350 has green and brown wires the 370 yellow and blue. Which colour goes to which? The rails have the mounting holes in the same position, however the 350 has a lug in the floor pan and the 370 has it on the seat rail. Would it be best just to cut the lug off?
  23. I'm in Yorkshire for a few weeks. Really interested, especially as I get paid tomorrow, but don't want a mix of oranges in my car.
