Looking at buying a locost or Westfield to do some track days, got about 3-4k to spend, but then thought why not put my zed on the track, it's a totally stock 2005 94k, just had full p3 new discs pads etc, the only issues are clutch related, has the soft sticking pedal when hot so prob needs slave cyl and hose kit"are these hard to fit" what's the overall cost, my other worry is that if I took it on track and the dual mass flywheel went would this cause further extensive damage to the car, reason I say this is because I get very loud scary thuds when dropping from say 4th to 3rd gear with heavy acceleration, which I have been told by a specialist is likely my flywheel, clutch don't slip yet, would rather the comfort as well on track as my back is not very good and I keep getting spasms in my spine. Perhaps the best action may be do the whole clutch assembly and be confident its done but then don't want to waste a possibly good clutch which can be used up on track and put the money on tyres etc Thoughts appreciated "only positive ones please"

Just called them, very friendly and welcomed us up there and yes track days available, waiting for the prices, but I'm sure they will be high. Def going on either fri/ sat even if its just to watch, we can also do some shopping in Ronda to please the wife. Will let you know how it goes.

Thx, your probably correct, just read up also the engine bore liners have had problems wearing out on 96-2000, so may give it a wide berth.

Thought I might get this car for a project, it has some rust on the rear arches and rear panel as on the pictures, it's has no known mechanical problems, 12 mths mot, 4 months tax. Who thinks this is a reasonable price and how serious does that rust look. I remember someone on here had a black xk? I was thinking to chop out the rust and re form fill and spray. I really fancy getting one to test it out and sell it when I've had my way with it LOL...

Just seen this skyline on ebay after a lovely day at donnington park, can anyone tell me if it represents good value at 3.2k Apparently no rust underneath, although I can see a tiny bit on the suspension, it passed mot with no faults. Only want it for track days and weekends etc. Looks like it has some good mods, but as I know jack hopefully you can help... My son and I are here at the services already, spent the day at Donny watching the track day and chatting to some kit car owners,,, really want one now!!! Been looking at the v storm kit car, we must avoid the dusty road into Donny as my zed was completely smothered lol, see you guys in the morning.
