Exhaust system inc y pipes?

I bought a BMW of a guy who had used a Brillo pad to try and remove lime scale , there were lots of scratches on the bonnet and bumper, so I got some wet and dry 2000 grade and a bowl of water with detergent in it, then I very gently rubbed down the clear coat wiping it dry every minute, when you have taken it down as far as you can you then t cut the area back to a shine, this will hopefully help, if you have gone right through to the paint you will then need to get some paint and either fill the scratches until it rises above the old paint, let it dry properly then wet and dry it all level, this should work well to a degree, if its that bad then get it prof detailed Good luck

ACTUALLY the obvious reason for slow speed is that the op does not have what I have in my zed the "flux capacitor". "teeth"

Looking at changing my failing exhaust and saw this used stainless steel one advertised for £350 Does Anyone know its make and if its worth going for at this price. Also do you think it will fit on a 2005 uk 350z. Thx

Just took the z out for a quick run and it made the same thud from rear on changing down a gear 4th-3rd

Car is running fine, but on Sunday I tried shifting gear from 5th to 2nd doing 30ph, As I changed gear and accelerated there was a bang/ knock sound pos from the diff? Also tried a few other things and got a similar sound, car seems perfect 1-6 and 6 -down but when you drop down to go it seems to make this knock/bang ? Any ideas, I thought perhaps diff oil or gear oil needed?

Interesting read, makes you want to have ago at a track day, what track would you recommend near London as a first, also would a standard 350z with regular brembos be unsuitable, what track pads would you use, and would the discs hold up.

I think Boxter.....just looks @*!#... But goes well Beetle .... Daughter has one....crap car all over.... She loves it.... BMW and audis...look like sheep... But they are good to drive Toyota rav 4 ... Looks like a Mexican... Makes me feel sick to look at it Toyota corolla... I'm next to one and it looks crap. Oh I hate old rounded sierras and cavaliers with gaffer tape on the bumper, cos you know some fat beer gutted basted who hasn't seen his dick in 20 years is gonna get out with fag in mouth and all types of @*!# paper on his dash board, you wonder how tf it gets an mot. Most cars these days look boring so not to **** of other drivers into road rage!! Most BMW look same but thus one is cool

Finally got my zed back from the repair garage last night, they done a great job on the car at a great price. It was soo nice to take it out for a ride today and "enter the zed world". Had a good look underneath thr car and noticed some problems with the exhaust, perhaps someone could tell me if I need a new one, theres 2 holes on both sides of the car in the same place just behind front wheels, can't feel any gases coming out from them when car idles? My guess is I may need a whole new system sooner or later? Any ideas would be helpful.

Sounds ok, but would the car be properly checked before its bought? Like mechanical and electrics, the last thing you want is a dog of car turning up which then needs a new turbo, clutch and whatever else could be unnoticed? If importing a car worked out a lot less in costs I can see the gamble, other than that it would only be worth doing for something you can't get here. Would love to get a gtr, can't Get one here as they are 30k plus

Is it to late to compound the peel once the clear coat is on? I'm going to use a professional polish tomorrow, it's quite abrasive so should get it looking a bit better. Thank you for all the advice!!
