Looking at changing my failing exhaust and saw this used stainless steel one advertised for £350 Does Anyone know its make and if its worth going for at this price. Also do you think it will fit on a 2005 uk 350z. Thx

Just took the z out for a quick run and it made the same thud from rear on changing down a gear 4th-3rd

Car is running fine, but on Sunday I tried shifting gear from 5th to 2nd doing 30ph, As I changed gear and accelerated there was a bang/ knock sound pos from the diff? Also tried a few other things and got a similar sound, car seems perfect 1-6 and 6 -down but when you drop down to go it seems to make this knock/bang ? Any ideas, I thought perhaps diff oil or gear oil needed?

Interesting read, makes you want to have ago at a track day, what track would you recommend near London as a first, also would a standard 350z with regular brembos be unsuitable, what track pads would you use, and would the discs hold up.

I think Boxter.....just looks @*!#... But goes well Beetle .... Daughter has one....crap car all over.... She loves it.... BMW and audis...look like sheep... Finally got my zed back from the repair garage last night, they done a great job on the car at a great price. It was soo nice to take it out for a ride today and "enter the zed world". Had a good look underneath thr car and noticed some problems with the exhaust, perhaps someone could tell me if I need a new one, theres 2 holes on both sides of the car in the same place just behind front wheels, can't feel any gases coming out from them when car idles? My guess is I may need a whole new system sooner or later? Any ideas would be helpful.

Sounds ok, but would the car be properly checked before its bought? Like mechanical and electrics, the last thing you want is a dog of car turning up which then needs a new turbo, clutch and whatever else could be unnoticed? If importing a car worked out a lot less in costs I can see the gamble, other than that it would only be worth doing for something you can't get here. Would love to get a gtr, can't Get one here as they are 30k plus

Is it to late to compound the peel once the clear coat is on? I'm going to use a professional polish tomorrow, it's quite abrasive so should get it looking a bit better. Thank you for all the advice!!

Ok spent most of the day finishing off the work started, for a first attempt at bodywork I'm not disappointed, however I can see there is a lot of uneven bits which does make it a very amateur repair. I've learnt a lot from doing these three jobs, especially how important getting the filler on correctly "or not in my case " also I found that priming was very helpful also kept rubbing it down to fill the fine aero holes that I had from the filler I guess I must have mixed in air to it? Can't wait for the next job, here's some pics, you can see the aero and also the orange peel effect, but I still need to either polish it down or compound it , not really sure how to tackle this, thanks for looking!!!

Yes another bug for me was the spreader only had a small one supplied with the filler, it was crap had to keep ANSI g the edge to get a clean scrape, does the flexi sanders fit most grinders, I have the usual cheapest Argos small one a large version and I also bought a professional polisher which has loads of heads, I'm sure o e will take the flexi sander, will keep you updated.
