  1. My new z has loads of small scratches and digs on the drivers rubber coated armrest, is thiere a repair method or should I look for a replacement. Another thing I have found annoying is on the steering wheel controls the metal surround has two patches it looks like the coating has come off probably from where the previous owner rested his thumbs Pictures to follow
  2. I just need the plugin part, pm me a price Gary Thx
  3. I use it on my work van neat and I have to say its a pleasure to use and gives a very clear windscreen as well you get a blast of lemon through the air vents, makes you squirt just for the smell.
  4. Dam, just filled my washer bottle with a very good quality screen wash, it's got alcohol to stop it freezing, wonder if this will be bad for the paint, did not know they were even there till I pressed the button thinking it was fog lamps whilst checking out the new z, bloody soaked the whole car, smells nice.
  5. Looks awsome mate, had a red 300 zx twin turbo and always loved the colour Welcome
  6. Very good idea, I'm defo gonna be buying me some tickets now!! It could be me:thumbs: As for the footage hilarious, looked like thebumper was turned into a rear wing,,,what a hideous gear knob,
  7. Actually,,,,,Er...... Nah.....but the Irish mob did want a jack Russell Always wanted to be a film star !!
  8. Sounds like a bigger job now, having to remove the door cards is probably a fiddly job? I'm thinking once off they never go back the same,, clips etc. This sounds like it could be a common fault with 350zs.
  9. Thanks, Looks like that may work, I'll post results once I've tried it.
  10. Thanks , going to give that a go, just need some glass polish first.
  11. Car checks out as kosher with previous owner selling it to this runner!!, so all good there, then I sell the car on Monday to three Irish young guns for £900, one of them is a drifter so I let him take me for a ride,,,,well now I know why they use it for drifting,,,mental... Then as I get home that night I get a call from someone offering £1500,, gutted, so on Tuesday I call the Irish guy who then sells it back to me for £1000,,,yep got the car back and it's now gone for £1500 collection Friday , then I get an email from Amsterdam and the guy wants to fly over ASAP to collect for £1500,,,, I told him it's gone but for £2500 it could be his,,,guess what he has not called back,,lol At least this money will cover everything on the z ,repairs, tax fuel and a little left for whatever.
  12. My 350z has lots of vertical scratches on the drivers and a few on the passengers windows, it's quite noticeable and I'm thinking it could be the rubbers either side of the glass so pulled the windows down and wiped a cloth over them, they were filthy. Can these be polished out or do I need to replace the window? Was thinking could tint but it's on the outer glass, could not find a thread on the search box related to this so posted this. Thx
  13. If anyone has a spare and wants to sell it? Seem some on eBay £50-£80 thought I could save £20 pos Thx
  14. No, I am also wondering about things, the car check has come back and it is not stolen, I have tracked down his address but there's nobody there, as I previously said I knew the guy from work he was a customer and we got talking about cars 4 months ago and he showed me the altezza giving me the run down on it and me telling him I'm getting involved in cars etc, perhaps he wanted me to have it for those reasons who knows but as I have a gifted reciept I think all should be fine, there is two more lines of enquiry which take place tomorrow and should clear up ownership doubts. The withdrawal idea could be plausible, and perhaps he was running off? I did tell him to email me and if the car was sold I would actually send some of the proceeds to him, but as the z is costing me maybe not
  15. Tidied the bumper today and drove it to a local body shop, Garage owner had a good look and said it's £800 to repair plus £200 to remove other scratches and marks. Not as bad as it could have been. car drives very well and My word they are quick, very different to my 300 twin which was a smooth power delivery, this feels like raw power. Looks like it's all been motorway miles and as 6 CDs are nearly all classical must be a middle aged fella who had it so I'm guessing it's not been thrashed...until today
  16. Lol I knew someone would pick up on that, I'll have to double check now what I write Think the stubby will have to wait?
  17. Thanks Louisa I enjoyed reading yours too, how's the new car going? Have you let rip? I have booked in for next week to hopefully have the damage sorted. One good thing I found a stamped up service history and its a one owner, have to now wait and see the cost, had ballpark figures of £800 but I'm thinking a bit more to get it right...
  18. At last my "cat d" z has finally arrived and oops it's not very pretty "yet", inner dent worse than I thought but it drives very well apart from the back exhaust box has been knocked off at the joiner..so a bit noisy. need to get it on a jig, hopefully will get quotes tomorrow. Here is some better pics. There is a nasty fold you can see it in the last picture.
  19. Sure, I am having it checked, plus I do know the guy he has had the car for 6 months, and spent a lot on it Thx
