  1. We have a joint account, where each month we put money in to split 50/50 the cost of the outgoings for bills etc. After that our money is our own, more because of me, because I don't want to spend her money on the car by accident as it's an expensive hobby. We pay our own car insurances, tax etc unless one of us has an unexpected bill and needs a hand. Holidays etc just depend on the circumstance, normally I'll pick up some extra bill money and she'll pay for the holiday or vice versa. For Christmas/Birthdays etc I pay for my family and she pays for hers. We don't have any children yet so obviously that will change things a lot.
  2. :O I'm so confused I don't follow Rugby. How many matches are there? It's for the world cup you fool

  6. you could get a smaller cylindrical silencer put in straight after the y pipe, which would cut some of the rasp. Silencing at the front cuts rasp, at the back cuts drone

Enjoyable banter and learning a bit too :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk it's better than TV and work but I've made some really close friends on here so there's no better place to be also I lost a friend for becoming a snitch #teamtarmac Non car people just don't get it either

  9. Hope they gave him a small tub of vasalene with the bill...
  10. I've been looking at petrol generators so I think I'm going to get one as it's cheaper than running power to my garage. Id never spray a whole car, just small parts and the quality would never need to be amazing Now I've got some inspiration I'm going to sort the garage out! Thanks guys
  11. Hi All! So, the time has come where I need a compressor at home, but how big should I go? I will be using it mostly for inflating tyres and every now and again running a few small air tools, saw, sander, paint gun etc. I've been looking at a budget 2hp model with a 50ltr tank as I only have a standard 240v power supply at home. Noise isn't an issue and to a large extent neither is refill time, so long as I can use tools for a couple of minutes at a time. Anyone who provides help can use it when needed Thanks
  12. Perhaps, but look at Williams: Last year they were nowhere, just 5 pts for the whole team (the same as in 2011), but this year they're third above Ferrari and McLaren. Okay, so they have the Merc engine, but so do McLaren and Force India. What I'm getting at is that they've made genuine progress, whereas Caterham and Marussia have gone backwards. It was a fresh start this year for all, and while the big guns would always have had the head start due to having the money, with the right people in place in the engineering department it was still possible to jump up a bit. And all that said, I really don't want to see 3-car teams. Williams have already posted a mid year loss of 20 million though. Success costs, a LOT That doesn't take into account their points money at the end of the season, which will be a lot more that £20 mill. But they have to keep on spending to get that at the end of the year. The points money will be a reward for their efforts, but some teams would (clearly) struggle to get there. Lotus barely survived last year to get their points money

  14. Edit: ignore me, dan has confirmed above
  15. Always wanted to do a hill climb, never had the balls though lol
  16. *** EDIT 18/12/2014 *** I've since found out that Wrap it Surrey are a COMPLETELY different company to Surrey Vinyl Wraps, so I was wrong I'd honestly give BossDog a call if you're looking for a wrap in surrey, they're mentioned on this site as one of the best in the south: http://blog.van-discount.co.uk/?p=3646 tell them Matt Dedman with the 350z recommended them to you and they'll take good care of both you and your car (they would anyway, but still )
  17. Nope, that's the benifit of this class...it's pretty stockish cars competing. You don't need a cage. Need a license though. Think there is also so much tweaking to a car you can do in each category. I'll be joining then, budget tyres and jezza kyle graphics and all
  18. I'd like a crack in my car. Presuming you'd need a full cage and extinguisher system though.
  19. Marussia have gone into administration too: Marussia have become the second F1 team to be placed in administration within days, leaving up to 200 jobs at risk. Administrators FRP Advisory said the Banbury-based team would continue to operate but had already withdrawn from the forthcoming US Grand Prix. Caterham, also based in Oxfordshire, was put in administration on Friday and will miss the US and Brazilian races. full story: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-oxfordshire-29784602
  20. I'd say share who the garage is, it's not slander as it's the same as me putting up the cost of some work done by carpet right and asking if the bill looks ok compared to other people. Keeping the parts which came off is useless, as they could be from any car, a garage will have hundreds of bits laying about, all they need to do is pick up some of the worst they've found so far.
