  1. Updated after some confusion of whether pairs or singular.
  2. A question I asked a few times when this topic was raised with regard to rx7's, if you want a v8 why not just buy a car with a v8? There are plenty of options, all shapes and sizes with something for everyone. I personal feel its a very American thing to chuck a v8 into anything and everything as they are two a penny, but over here, it just doesnt make financial sense.
  3. 2nd hand, hence the long shot part
  4. Long shot i know but would like an Invidia Gemini, but possibly interested in other alternatives. Nothing overly loud, needs to be track friendly
  5. How come after going to the trouble of forging the engine you stopped at .5 bar and 463hp, that engine has got be good for bigger hp?
  6. Being new to the 350z world but not tuning and coming from Rx7's it seems common place these days to split items down as you will stand more chance of selling individual items rather than a "package deal", having said that, i would advertise as a package for "x" and list all parts individually that would add up to more, so the package deal is a tempter.
  7. I always forget this bit, lol, collection preferred, delivery not included, i am in Bournemouth although happy to tape together if you want to arrange a courier. £20ish should get any two posted ladies and gents
  8. Being purpled as we speak, should be on by the end of the week, will update with photos

  10. It just seems a bit "staged" to me, its more about who can find the best strategy using the two tyre options. A hard tyre should almost do a complete race and the soft should be half race distance but at a quicker pace. There seems to be too much difference between the two in my eyes at the moment.
  11. I know Rossi has a lot of fans and could be argued that is the best we have seen, but i am just tiring of him a bit now and the motogp is all about Rossi fanboys. He has had his time (a very successful one at that) and things move on and if the start of this season doesnt go to show Cal cuts the mustard on a parts bin bike, i dont think there will be any hope of him getting a full factory ride. Lets just hope Cal finishes above Rossi over the season, i know Cal is desperate to prove himself as a contender and capable of winning a motogp but think he would be much better focussed on just competing against Rossi rather than pushing for podiums or wins. One thing to be said as well, was gutted to have Stoner leave but at least with Marquez there is someone equally as impressive to watch.
  12. I perhaps know its the holy grail but would like to see the soft tyres lasting say half the time of the harder option but give them the time advantage to allow for a pitstop, so effectively they work out the same, but then it comes down to drivers perhaps making them last longer or find a better set up on hard or soft. Not sure i like this "falling off the cliff" as it doesnt seem to matter how you drive, they go at the same point give or take a lap or two.
  13. What are peoples thoughts on tyres? I mention this after hearing some of the drivers are at 80% to save tyres and this weekend really highlighted tyre issues. Are Pirelli not giving what is needed in that department or are the constructors not making best use of what is on offer?
  14. Factory Yamahas also tested there! Please could Rossi and Cal swap teams for the rest of the season Think we will be hearing a lot about Marquez over the next 10 years
  15. Quite a well used practice to use pcd adapters and being they are a 30 offset it should work out well, especially as the lm's are an awesome wheel.
  16. Sold Nice to meet you both
  17. Lighter colour for the win, will highlight the gm then.
  18. Volk/Rays, SSR, Work, BBS, OZ, Desmond, Weds, Garson, Enkei, Advan, Compomotive, Gewalt etc
  19. Interesting chat, personally i hate knock offs, particularly Rotas as they just rip everything off, design wise. There are some classic wheel designs (bbs lm's) that are timeless and everyone has there own twist on them with subtle design features. I would happily pay more money for decent manufacturers as they will always be worth (or should be) good money 2nd hand. Think i have just sold my Rezax for what you would pay for new Rotas, i bought them 2nd hand and they have returned me the same money i paid for them inc the refurb over a year later. So imho, its worth spending the extra bucks to get a quality brand as they will generally always be worth the money and as they get rarer and the knock offs start flooding the 2nd hand market, the rare rims might even increase.
  20. Had this happen on my daily work bus last year, i considered all options you have. Thought against buying a 2nd hand engine as couldnt be positive of its history and the same might happen months down the line. I plumbed for rebuilding because the rest of the car was so clean, although it wasnt really cost effective, i now have a mint vehicle which i know the history of and baring any catastrophe, should go on for years or be worth the higher end of the scale for that particular vehicle.
  21. He is German its compulsory, just like Vettel Personally i prefer to see Kimmi shrug his shoulders than hear some pr groomed pc answer which is only tells you what you want to hear, or what the pr gurus want you to hear
  22. Never really understood why people take exception to drivers/riders on their post/pre race interviews, its motor sport, not a personality contest!
