  1. I thought this was 350z uk, not, lets put down our 350zuk. Of course a lap time says very little of how a car drives, but it does give you a very good idea of how a car handles/performance and there is no way a zed would post such lap times if it handled badly and was lazy in its power delivery. This and only this, is the point i am trying to get across as it seemed there were negative comments towards its capabilities
  2. Top Gear track also, exactly the same time, most likely the same driver or if not ones of equal abilities, even then and taking into ambient temperature it would only make perhaps for a few 10ths. So what your also saying is, on a different day with better weather, better driver and set up the 350z could beat that time Swings both ways being pedantic Those times will be the best on record, there is no way BMW would settle for having a bad time on their benchmark performance saloon car, the M3. Incidentally if it helps you, those two times were set by the same driver Horst von Suarma. The 350z is a damn quick car with obvious impressive handling to even come close to the M3.
  3. Even presented with factual data some still dont want to believe
  4. http://fastestlaps.com/ Compare any two cars you like and if they have data on lap times it will show them http://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/nissan_350z_283bhp-vs-bmw_m3_e46.html
  5. Side picture here, the car is lowered and not had my camber control arms fitted so running loads of negative camber which is pushing the top in, just so you know.
  6. The rears fit but a personal preference would be for a 10-15mm spacer to bring flush with the arch (without rolling) and the fronts would require a 20mm or so to clear the caliper and fit flush with the arch, will take a side on photo as is.
  7. About £500, depending on finish Not too bad considering for brand new looking wheels Indeed, considering I paid £3K for the wheels alone new Personally i dont think you can beat a high quality set of alloys imho Very passionate about wheels and having a good quality set of proper alloys stands your car out from the crowd
  8. Hahah, they sure are. Just to add, i do have all for original centre caps that you see with the rears and if any body wants to try them on their car to get a true impression your more than welcome to swing by, i am in Bournemouth.
  9. Recently refurbished with polished lip and custom pink centres (not to everyones tastes i know but i am comfortable with my sexuality ) One small knick where the socket sprung off, grrrr, last photo of rear by the lowest wheel nut! Its very difficult to photo them accurately to get a true judge of the colour. They are darker in real life with a light dusting of blue candy, when the sun shines they look stunning and think they would look awesome on a Silverstone Grey/Blade Silver or White 350z. The pictures of the fronts is the best representation of the colour. I have also only lent the front against the car for a idea of overall look, as will not go on without a spacer. These are a true 3 piece split so you can adapt with bigger dish etc 18 x 10 rears et35, with as new Federal Rsrs 255/35's They fit without spacers but would look better with them. 18 x 9 fronts et37 with Toyo Proxes 235/40's with about 3mm of tread. You will def need spacers. I am just about to strip the fronts down for repolish as they were sat on my Rx7 uncared for. The rears are perfect, and the lips are properly protected with 2 coats of poor bouys wheel sealant and then two coats of Jetseal109. A regular clean is all they need to keep them gleaming. If you want as is £1100, with fronts re polished and protected £1200.
  10. There doesnt seem to be a lot of positive comments about the Zeds handling. I must admit i was a little concerned about its apparent weight with what i was used to and then something swung it for me, an early 350z is only 4 seconds a lap slower round the Nurburgring than a e46 M3, which is the benchmark car for saloons/coupes. Awesome if you ask me
  11. No wonder there is so many Cheers Alex
  12. Just perusing through my recent Jdm import purchase and seem to have a plethora of wires underneath the passenger seat. They dont seem random wires, most have proper oem plug connectors of different shapes and sizes. Any ideas what they might be for?
  13. I have never seem to be able to get to the bottom of whether you can "turn on" the cruise function of Jdm's so long as you have the rest of the gubbins, is it possible Mark?
  14. About £500, depending on finish Not too bad considering for brand new looking wheels
  15. Ebay is a total pain in the ...., but it is a great advertising tool, but its pretty easy to sort out the wheat from the chaff by the way they communicate, just ignore the morons Glwts
  16. I think its difficult to judge by the advertised price Do an advanced search on ebay and you can check what has been listed and what sold.
  17. Would it be vulgar to ask what Wheel Genie charge for such a job?
  18. With some measurements and confirming what these wheels were available in, Rears 10.5" Et 19 Fronts 9.5" Et 26 This was of course with a tape measure so give or take a couple of mm And looking at prices they were $1000+ each new
  19. After having thoroughly scouring the classifieds for the last four weeks or so what has been apparent to me is cars that have sold and ones that keep being relisted/readvertised. Unfortunately the ones i have seen sell are the well priced ones and that is usually the cheaper ones. As it is really easy to see with ebay, over the last four/five weeks it has 140+ cars advertised at any one time. So plenty of choice. Anything modified, no matter how nice, is going to be individual when it comes to tastes, so your narrowing your audience straight away and if its top dollar, its even less of an audience. Sad as it is to say, modifications dont add to making the car more valuable or necessarily more desirable. If i were in your position, providing you have the standard parts, i would give yourself a time scale of selling as is and if you dont receive a offer your prepared to accept in that time, put it back to standard and top up the coffers with sales of parts. You will also be able to gauge how much interest you have, if your getting lots of enquiries it may be worth holding out a bit longer, if you dont, you know it will unlikely sell as is. Glwts
  20. Sure, will get onto it. I am pretty into my wheels so am positive they are 9.5 & 10.5, can tell by the way the tyres fit. But will try to get these measurements confirmed to you tomorrow.
  21. There is always a lot of chat about front number plate display on Pistonheads, by all accounts the fines are less for not displaying one than for displaying them incorrectly (illegal spacing/sizes/fonts) Most of my front number plates have resided under my passenger seat. Cars look so much better without them
  22. Volk Racing Sf Winnings 19" There are no markings on the reverse to suggest et's or widths. The rears appear to be 10.5 and fronts 9.5" and offset seems perfect, so guessing around the 20's. Rear tyres are feathered so would need replacement, shod in 275's. Fronts are good with a Falken 452 and Nankang Ultra Sport, in 245's, lots of tread on both. These are a two piece split so can easily be broken down and repainted if desired. General condition is excellent, very minor kurb rash on the usual front ns but it is minor as photo'd. No other kurbing what so ever. Centres are in great condition with the odd tiny blemish, hardly noticeable but want to be accurate with my description. Fraktion has been in contact so will give him first refusal. After the weekend they will go on Driftworks where i know they will sell quick. £1350
