My thinking is, Seller says - Car is fine, runs sound, has 4 new tyres on etc. What if seller was lying or wasn't sure, and said tyres are bold or has one bold tyre or the car has something obvious wrong that would put the buyer off. Would you ask a local member or pay £200 to find that out?

Think the idea of getting a member to go see it, is what if it's someones neighbor etc? or lives 2 seconds away - Even if it's just to go inspect the car and see if it's dog or any hidden damages etc. Then when the member gives it the all clear, thats when I'd decide to go see it or get the RAC out.

Would rather have one of us over AA/RAC Etc - They just do general inspections, they have no real interests in the car model it self. We can check for all the common issues etc. Where is the car?

It's on Top Gear, must be true. To be fair, I blew my engine up on track from going 6th to 3rd, thinking I was going to 5th.... Jokes, nope, not had that problem yet (But I did blow my engine up) Can't see how pushing the shifter up in a straight line is hard to comprehend.

Why are we all slating her? What if the owner did something really bad? I.e. Cheated, killed someone, kidnapper, rapist, doored her car in a car park and drove off, slept with her and never called her back, or the owner mentioned the OTHER forum Orrrrrrrrrrrrr to stir up a blast from the past what if the owner of that car was Storm Girl?
