  1. If only Kermit were drinking Blue Raspberryade
  2. +1 black wheels and a slight drop would complete it for me. Green and blue really dont work. Clearly a lot of time and money going into this project; it is a good read.
  3. Presumably the top mount would have to be reinforced?
  4. So I adjusted the shocker alone, treating it as a true coilover, when in hindsight I should have adjusted the spring? Consequently theOSR is a lot firmer as this was adjusted more to compensate the adverse ride height. Thankfully I used a vernier gauge and can revert back. Why cant the rear be a true coilover.
  5. Right I know what I have done wrong
  6. My thought exactly. So for clarity; if the shock is at its longest would that mean that the spring is elongated. If so I would have thought it would be soft as it isn't as compressed?
  7. Hi Fellow Zedders, Carried out a much needed ride height adjustment over the weekend and now hate the way it drives; for the record the car was lifted by an inch or so (slightly more OSR as it was a tad lower visually). Standard protocol really; used the spanners to adjust the shocker at the rear (coilover) and left the spring as it is and damping. Now for some reason the OSR is firmer than the NSR....much firmer So much so that it is either going to bounce me off of the road mid corner or break something.....probably my back! So what have I done wrong? Thanks
  8. Interesting!! Never knew that Bluestrike
  9. Cool cheers Alex, will pass my information over to CMS
  10. Hi Guys, The Zed is going in for a new clutch this month. I have the following to install; Exedy Hyper Single Clutch inc. cover plate, friction plate, flywheel and release bearing. I also have an HEL braided clutch line. Now my question to you is what else do I require/or is recommended? What is the spigot bearing? Is this the same as the release bearing ? Thanks
  11. So Adrian are you suggesting that the SPL drop links won't corrode and are highly durable?
  12. There is no doubt that the LMGT4 is a highly regarded and expensive wheel but I find them so boring (sorry to those that run them - probably worth twice value of mine). What is so special about them; weight? Rarity?
  13. I thought the general Whiteline feedback was positive; well it was a few years back. The SPL equivalent looks great, but I suppose that is expected with the pricetag. Tough decision. Will definitely go for Eibach ARB
  14. Cheers Ian; based on the quality of your build and the money you must plow in I presume that Cusco and SPL set the high end bench mark?
  15. Hi Guys, After a bit of advice concerning the above. I have just put the zed back on the road and it is knocking on the front; could be a number of things most probably banana arm ball joint or bushes. MOT is due so will ask them to inspect. I am also in the process of upgrading the suspension set up on the zed and would like to buy front and rear ARB's with adjustable drop links. I have been considering Eibach ARB's and Whiteline links. What do we think? The reason I ask is based on a bad experience with Japspeed, notably their adjustable links......lasted the best part of 3 days on the car - they are pants! The car has been dropped on coilovers (which will be replaced by a higher spec in the winter - maybe sooner) and has adjustable camber arms etc; seems right to sort out the ARB and links. Thanks
  16. MOT is due in a couple of weeks; have racked up a whopping 560 miles since the last one. Maybe the lady is right; I need to sell it
  17. Anything with a similar price tag will make the zed feel like a shed.
