. Not all its cracked up to be, spending hours in a open top sports car in the piddling down rain at Brands is not fun. OK in the Summer.it gets a bit boaring doing lap after lap on the same bit of tarmac. I also did a bit for Driving Ambition at Millbrook with their Porsches, that was fun

Good luck with getting there, its hard work, I used to drive the fast ride car at Brands (doing 3 laps per passenger in the Lola Sports 2000 ) for up to 60 to 80 guests a day, that's 170 laps or more of the Indy circuit in a day, keeps you fit. :thumbs:

Right so ARDS is a new way of making sure you can drive before getting onto the track and causing havoc..I did the whole course at Brands Racing School down to graduation and then went racing, and ended up working at the School instructing part time, great fun and good times, Some of my mates are still working at the School..

They're about 50-60 new, I was shocked as well. I bought the Peugeot one for £14 new which fits perfectly, OK its not a double sided one.

Another one to do is the skid pan course which at one time was part of your licence if you did your training at Brands Racing School.

I got my racing licence before ARDS Test, where we had to do 6 races and be closely observed by a Senior RAC Race Steward who then signed your licence if he believed you drove without any danger to your fellow competors etc : All 6 signatures and you got your National Race Licence. Great write up on ARDS, who was your instructor at Brands Smokey, ?

Dont light up on my 350Z 2006, as above the newer model 370Z do, Its a pain at night trying to answer and make phone calls with no illumination. I now just use Siri on my iPhone 4s, far easier.

Good point..Are Ferrari obliged to run the McLaren standard ECU, giving their status as manufacturers of their own engines, if the FIA insist they do, what is the interaction between McLaren and Ferrari on development of electronic aids...

Very hard to find a set of genuine ones there are aftermarket ones from the US but check they are UK spec, ie: the beam throw is not to the wrong side, they do supply for the R/H market. :thumbs:
