Mine is a DE and you can change the locking. Not sure about JDMs. It took me a few goes with holding down the two buttons before it re-set the locking procedure. Hold for 10 secs then. Some "stupid MOT tester failed the car "because he was unable to open the passengers door"...

What about the dipstick...!!!

Worst design of any dipstick I have come across, I use a torch to make sure its back in the hole correctly, as its so easy to just slide it down the side of the tube and not into it.

As Ekona said, but you should check it every 2 weeks and not run it dry or down to the min mark on the dipstick, its cheaper to put oil in than a new engine..!!

They look good for the price, sometimes a genuine set come up for sale on here, I sold a set here recently for not a lot of money. I take out my genuine ones in Winter and fit black rubber ones, which you can clean with a hose.

Just been reading this thread as I need to do mine in the Spring, no too bad at the moment but starting to peel, quick question anybody used Black Hammerite paint its one of the hardest wearing paints you can get ?.

Get a large toilet plunger..(Large sucker) and stick it to the window (either drivers or passengers side) make sure the glass is dry or it will slip, and ease down the window (by gently massaging it up and down..) by the amount it drops for safety which is about 2", then make up a stick like item to push the open button to the side. Easy, ... :surrender:

Thanks Olly, There is a fitting guide on here, I believe from the front of the car you reverse the left and right so on your left you will fit the right damper...is that right ?.
