I must admit the recent whines from some of the drivers is getting beyond ridiculous, behaving like spoilt children, get on with racing! They have now made the top cars so equal within a few tenths over a lap, that the drivers have to try anything to gain a slight advantage. But I totally agree "whinging" down the radio to get your fellow drive in the sh1T is not cricket..!!

It was completely unnecessary to repair it where it was, the chances of another car hitting the same piece of barrier were probably Zero...But due to Elf and Safety the F1 Silverstone Insurance policy states "That all barrier sections must be maintained and repaired to their satisfaction at all times that racing is taking place". (or words to that effect) ..

Turned this down today, had some work to do..must have been mad...Hamilton testing tomorrow.

The Mercedes team chairman said he enjoyed every moment of the on-track battle for mere points placings between champions Vettel and Fernando Alonso. But, throughout, the pair complained loudly and repeatedly to their pit crews about 'track limits' - arguing that their respective tactics were contrary to the rules of battle. Lauda, a triple world champion and F1 legend, could not hide his disdain. "I do not understand Vettel and his screaming like a small, startled child," he is quoted by the German newspaper Bild. "This was two top drivers and top racing, which is what the audience wants to see. We had these numbers a while back for our Sales dept think they cost us about £500 for the pair, we don't need them now, as we changed to 0800 numbers, so its a shame to not let somebody else have them,
