12,00 noon today spotted a nice silver 350Z Reg as above in Colney Hatch Lane heading towards Muswell Hill, he may have gone down the North Circular. Gave driver a little hoot and wave. Got the same response as usual...blanked..!!!

People do that anyway during boring SC intervals. They don't seem to have too many issues with starting up again during qualy. They plug them into a very large fan system which is vented out the back of the garage to remove excess heat both from the brakes and engine. Cannot see that been wheeled onto the grid, they have portable "leaf" blowers to cool the brakes only when its for short periods,

The only thing it will achieve is the viewer can pop to the kitchen to make a cuppa or get a beer while they sit on the grid, only about half will re-start anyway as its almost impossible to re-start the current engines once they suffer from heat soak.

Short story about the ownership of a Fiat 500 Abarth. I live close to a Main Fiat Dealers, the other Sat morning a customer picked up a New Fiat 500 Abarth in Ferrari Red, drove it out of the dealers and totalled it against a bus on the roundabout right outside the Dealers, total length driven 20 yards. Period of ownership 30 seconds that includes putting on seat belts..!!
