BTCC KNOCKHILL THIS BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND.. Aiden Moffat is one of four drivers who calls Knockhill his home circuit, and adding to the usual homecoming celebrations the 17-year-old will also be taking part in the unique Forth Road Bridge crossing on Thursday 21st August. Aiden will join fellow BTCC stars – Gordon Shedden, Dave Newsham and Glynn Geddie – as well as a selection of six iconic Jim Clark cars at the Forth Road Bridge crossing that will mark both the start of the Bridge’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, and the 50th Anniversary of Jim Clark’s famous BTCC title win of 1964. A title Jim won whilst he was the reigning Formula One World Champion. Moffat made BTCC history a year ago at the Fife venue, becoming the youngest ever driver to race in the series. Speaking to Knockhill circuit earlier this week, he said: “With the Bridge crossing, Jim Clark tribute and the Circuit celebrating their own 40th Anniversary, the Knockhill round is going to be a massive weekend for me. I’ve been across the Forth Bridge so many times before, but this is one journey that will certainly be one I’ll never forget…â€

Maldonado brings $26,000,000 a year to crash cars. More money than talent, so he goes to a team that needs money. Max Verstappen has talent and not a lot of money, so he goes to Red Bull Junior who need top drivers.

Max was offered to join two top Teams, Mercedes and Red Bull Junior, I know its difficult, as new drivers don't have any testing time any more, you learn your race craft in the heat of battle so there is nowhere to hide...

Bit of Info on Max Vestappen. Name: Max Emilian Verstappen Nationality: Netherlands Date of birth: September 30, 1997 - Hasselt, Belgium Max was born into a family of racing drivers. His father Jos Verstappen is a former Formula One driver while his mother Sophie Kumpen is a former successful kart driver. His grandfather Paul Kumpen is a former GT endurance driver and his uncle Anthony Kumpen is a FIA GT and 24 Hours of Le Mans driver. Verstappen began karting at age 7. He competed in the Mini Junior championship of his home province of Limburg. In 2006, Verstappen graduated to the Rotax Max Minimax class and won the Belgian championship. In 2007, Verstappen won the Dutch Minimax championship. Racing in a CRG entered by his father, Verstappen won the Dutch and Belgian Minimax championship as well as the Belgian Cadet championship. For 2009, Verstappen joined Team Pex Racing, a CRG customer team. Verstappen won the Flemish Minimax championship and the Belgian KF5 championship.
