Great video buddy. I do like a high flow cat. They do beef the noise up quite a lot.
Big thanks Andy!

So, a common fault that likely has affected us all at some stage is the problem with the boot not opeing properly. The helper springs wear out so the boot lid doesn't open enough.
Nissan wanted £105 for a pair of new springs but @Sim posted about upgrated springs from OpenTop for only £45 so I gave them a go.
They are very strong. Not used them that long but so far they work very well. You do need to give the lid a bit of a slam so it closes properly. Maybe they are too strong! I'd imagine if you had a large spoiler on the boot they'd still work.
I've made a video to show how they work and how to fit them.

The previous owner may have disconnected the gyroscope to turn off the VDC / TCS. It's under the centre console. I installed a button to turn it on and off at will. This video may help you:

I rang my local Nisan dealer and for a pair of new 350Z DE cats, brace yourself, they wanted £2388!

Got a ToyoSport Y-Pipe and everything now fits fine.

@SHEZZA Cheers mate.
Its a strange one. I can only assume the pervious owner bougth a cheap Y-Pipe and it didn't fit. The exhaust fitter must have extended the cats as it's easier to weld mild steel than stainless?

Hi all, Your help here is greatly appreciated. Have replaced my stock cats with Torqen HFCs but the Y-Pipe now fouls on the transmission brace. The Y-Pipe is an aftermarket stainless steel one (no idea of brand). Have my stock cats been extended at the end? Is the Y-Pipe incorrect? Torqen assure me the HFCs are correct.

I used the Rust Buster kit. Check my build for more info, page 5

Just a quick update on the rust restoration project. Have started to put the car back together now and fitted a few cheeky upgrades. My video below goes into more detail as usual

@checkle91 NS wasn't quite as bad. Just sufrace rust that i was able to treat.

I'd advise taking the side skirt off too as there can be rust hiding under there too. Here's what mine looked like...

@flyboy Can i get one please? I'll give you a DM now.

@ZMANALEX Thanks for the quick reply. It's appreciated.
I'm pretty sure the bolt was fine as i had a good look and cleaned it up on a wire wheel before i put it back in.
I'll DM you about purchasing a new joint now.

@ZMANALEX The bolt just spins when i try to take it out. Tried puting pressure on it with a screwdriver in hope that it "grips" but to no avial.
Any advice on how to get the bolt out please?
-
@ZMANALEX Big thanks mate. Will try a new bolt and see how that goes.

Hi all,
Am refittng my steering rack and the lower joint lower bolt (see red arrow on pic) won't tighten to the correct torque.
It gets all the way into the hole fine but continues to spin when tightened i.e it never stops being able to turn.
The bolt doesn't have thread all the way up so i assume this is by design to stop overtightening?
I had to pry open the lower joint a bit to get it off in the first place and have tried to close it up again by using vice grips but I get the same problem.
In comparison the similar bolt at the top of the joint comes out and tightens nicely.
Help please! Thanks. N.

Ahhhhh bet you can't wait to get this out on the road, will feel tighter than your true love.
Lovely upload
Re a replacement exhaust, I've had this toyosport system and on a budget it's very good.
Yeah, desperate to see how she handles now. Started putting it mas much back together as I can yesterday. Is that toyosport exhaust resonated? Is it loud whilst cruising onthe motorway? Looks good value at £250 new.

Here's a pic of the underside of the car with everything stipped off. As you can see, a fair amount of rust.
